When I try to go back to other past areas I get 0 exp for any kills and can't find any quests to do .How can I get throgh this area?I have upgraded my armor and weapons but have little gold left. Thanks

Follow the primary quests.

I as well found it tough my first time through Yaks. Try not to aggro many monsters at once. Try to avoid the ice golems if you use close range melee. Try do some quests in that area to level up a bit. If this doesn't help, just reply with more info on your location and what your trying to do and I'll see if I can help in any way. I'll subscribe to this thread so I can keep an eye on you

Oh, and you might not want to take ALL the quests at once.
Most of them spawn extra enemies that you could have otherwise avoided.

That's the key right there. Just take one quest at a time. You may have to cover the same ground several times, but you'll get plenty of XP and you should find it quite a bit less challenging. And if you get Empathy put on you, stop attacking until it's gone.

Should also notice that you can take five henchies from Yaks.

Also...as you fight, move backwards a bit. This should prevent any other patrols from drifting into the middle of your fights, and make your job easier.

Aggro slowly. Watch patrols, attack one, move back a bit with them, and do it again. Running into a mob and fighting there = bad news.

Also...get a fiery bowstring? I read somewhere that the summit dwarves are weaker against fire damage. So use fiery string, and use something like kindle arrows, or ignite arrows?

I'm fairly sure I saw someone saying in these forums how they tested it and didn't notice any difference with using fiery against the dwarves. Now Ice Golems should be a different matter though.

no, if comboed right, a ranger can be one of the best professions. You should be able to do it... unless you are tryin to be a big shot and goin after about 6 enemies. try

Just take it nice and slow. Flag your henches back and pull a small group to fight, instead of allowing Little Thom's enthusiasm charge him off into the middle of battle, where as others have pointed out, other mobs can join in and make life difficult.

Lots of mesmers around there; they'll be casting awful things like Empathy on you and the warriors, so be careful you don't kill yourself.
