Please move this if this is located at the wrong forum part as i'm not really sure where to put this .

Since the last time i logged on i noticed a HUGE problem.
I'm being randomly "autokicked" out of the guild, and when i relogon i'm back in the guild, i've been walking "guildless" around in our hall, our Npc's are randomly appearing and dispearing...

And offcourse i've been asking some friends of mine who indeed had exactly the same problems

Is GW just flipping? Is it giga lag? Or was is a temp. bug :S
I hope it will be solved soon, because this is really confusing

The euro servers were experiencing problems with alliance chat and the guild system lagging in general, it kept not displaying messages, and reverting back to the days when alliance chat was introduced ("only officers and leaders can use alliance chat"). It all seems to be working fine now (at least for me and the others i've spoken with who were having problems), just a glitch ^^

I thought everyone could use Alliance chat.

No, not in the beginning they couldn't. Regular members could see the chat, but they couldn't type anything in.

Here are a couple of shots:

And another which just gave the message for one line in alliance chat (can't be bothered censoring, you get the idea )

If I remember right, it was a couple of weeks after Factions went live.

On the guild: that happenes to me on occasion and especialy when a lot of players are online. My fix has always been either to wait for a bit or just log off and back on. The Alliance chat was originaly for the officers and guild leaders when it was first implemented, but due to a bit whining NC-Soft changed it so that anyone in the alliance could use it, which can be a good thing or a bad thing. I'm am not sure exactly when it was changed but I do believe The Pointless is right and it was change within a few weeks after factions was released.

I had that problem yesterday too, a couple of times it showed me as not being in the guild. Usually logging out and logging back in helped.

NC Soft do not develop the game, ANet do.

Yup, having this issue too. I can be in my guild when I logon, map from a town to town or from an instance and suddenly out of the guild.

Very annoying.

It's still happening for me, and now guild chat lags for about 60-70 seconds before the typed message goes through. After speaking to several others this is also the case for them, both in the same guild and it other guilds.

Although I have neither issue right now as I get code 40 every time I try to log in.

Network News
We have received reports that some European players recently have experienced latency issues and packet loss, particularly at times of peak European concurrency. The network teams are investigating this matter and hope to have the problem resolved as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we get this situation solved.

Ah, there is still some kind of problem, allthough i don't have problems with it anymore good thing the devs look into it

Actualy NC-Soft does produce the game. Arena net is the host but they merged shortly after the original Guild Wars launch.

Actually no, NCSoft bought ArenaNet BEFORE guild wars release and ArenaNet is a Subsidiory of NCSoft... they pay the bills and are a distributor, ArenaNet are the creators, producers and the owners of Guild Wars

Quote:
ArenaNet

ArenaNet - located in Bellevue, Washington, USA - is the development studio that makes Guild Wars. Their mission is to "create a state-of-the-art, interactive game network and design premier multiplayer online games for dedicated game players."
ArenaNet is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Korean company NCsoft, publishers of other MMORPGs such as City of Heroes and Lineage 2.
Note: In colloquial chat, on forums and in this wiki, the name ArenaNet is often shortened to "ANet" or "A.Net".

History

ArenaNet was founded in 2000 by Mike O'Brien, Patrick Wyatt and Jeff Strain. All three of them came from Blizzard Entertainment and were previously involved in the development of multiplayer online games such as Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, World of Warcraft and the Battle.net gaming network.
Note: The new offspring business was originally called "Triforge", but changed name to "ArenaNet" shortly after.
ArenaNet was acquired by NCsoft in 2002.

Staff

Over the years, ArenaNet has grown to 100+ employees. Besides the three founders there are several other staff members "visible" to the community, for example Gaile Gray, Andrew Patrick or Isaiah Cartwright. A full list of the ArenaNet team can be found on their website (see external links).
