This might seem like some stupid question but here it is anyway: how come when i play GW on my old laptop (1 year and a half old) with a pentium M 1.63GHz, 512Mb ram, nvidia geforce 6600Go 128Mb i get like 5 more fps than when i play it on my new laptop with an amd turion64 dual core 1.83GHz, 2Gb ram, nvidia geforce 7200Go 256Mb with the same effects, resolution and refresh rate?

For an accurate comparison, make sure your video and sound settings are the same on both systems.

I suspect that the auto detect turned on far more advanced video options then it did with your laptop.

Thats what i meant when i said same effects, i manually chose every visual effect, refresh rate etc. to make sure they were the same, did the same thing with sound before i wrote this thread.

In terms of graphics cards... GeForce Go 6600 (equivelant to a GeForce Go 7600) > GeForce Go 7200. So that may be the 5fps difference.

The 6600 looks slightly better than the 7200. Just because 7200>6600 in terms of numbers, the 7200 is a low end current generation card, so don't expect it to outpace a midrange older generation card.
