VwK after SV/AV nerf

the problem is this: I'm not able to kill the Grasping Darknesses after the SV and AV nerf.
They kill me because I can't take the two enchantments always up (cause of the high nrj cost and the 9 secs duration) , so they can interrupt and then daze me.
At that point I'm a dead man.
Can you help me or this type of VwK is dead like I did?

no, it's not gg, because after the point 5) the fight is not over...
SV ends in just 9 secs, then you have to cast AV, but you may have not enough nrj for it, because the VwK ashes decrease your max nrj of 15 (while you use a staff).
when the nrj is enough, you may be interrupted because the Graspring's Distracting Blow has recharged.
At this point, you're without any skill that prevent the monsters to gain adrenaline, they start using Fear Me (and your nrj goes down again), and then
they finish you by dazing you, using Skull Breaker.
I may use Mantra of Resolve, but I rly need a healing skill when I'm against 5 smiters...

What do you have, 30 energy max? You should have ~50 with the staff, so no problems with emanagement.

lol, i didnt change a thing and didnt have a problem. the only thing i notice is my energy is a bit lower then b4 but that just means it isnt full anymore when the group dies.

I cast SV... when it ends, I wait till it reaches the 15 second mark than cast AV.... I seriously havent died since after the nerf... may be you just need more practise, mate?

All by all I did farm before the nerf a lot, and now I just can't do it. With the Mantra of Resolve it worked 1 time, a day later it seamed they added an update or something, because there was no way I could do it again.
Also SV and AV run already out of time when you first cast before lure, when they start to attack it's all gone and quite useless to use. I just don't get why Anet had to Nerf that freaking skill, I'm 100% sure it was not a tactical something for PvP but just to get rid of farmers althought they don't want to say that in your freaking face, they keep saying "No we don't have something again farming" Well why the hell you nerf the skills then if they are not even used in PvP at all.
As far I know it's for me, RIP Rit, Spirit spammer = dead, channeling sucks without armor penestration, Restoration seams to be the only thing that keeps alive, and Spawning, well who the hell uses it?

God, you're ignorant. GO read the other threads, go observe matches, go play some ra... rits are steadily being invited to mainstream GW.
And if thought it out more carefully... and you KNOW they save their interrupt till you cast... then just cast soothing memories, or vengeful weapon >.> they'll try to interuppt, but sometimes you'll get lucky and vengeful will cast faster... and waste their interrupt as well. Seriously, instead of brainlessly pressing the same buttons, all it requires now is pacing... and thinking >.>
I'm not a good player by any means, and if I can do this, im more than sure any other player in GW can too. PM ingame if you would like to see it done.

anyway i found the W/Rt build a lot safer and I gain a little more too...

As per the skill description, i believe the skill is ending because your energy is hitting zero.
As far as VwK Rit for soloing UW, as most here have said it IS still doable. More risky, more dangerous but doable. I had been soloing UW often with my rit since early faction days, but simply find it too dangerous now. Even with having lots of experience i find my death rate a bit too high... like 1 out of 4 runs i die.
i have been running a variation of Witte Was' UW warrior build, which is quite safe, simple to use and with variations can do the smite run only slightly slower then the VwK Rit... try it out.
His build is made to go past smites, so i changed it quite a bit to be able to synergize and increase dmg output making my Smite runs quite fast... anyway... GL!

Channelling, channelling, channelling... seriously, if you're ever in a situation where you desperately need soothing memories, you're a dead man anyway. I think I used it once ever when I overagroed smites and I had run out of VwK recasts. As long as you spam vengeful weapon you should never have HP issues, and with channelling you can spam VW permanently, while still getting enough energy for visages.

basically the build got harder for people who are newer at it or people that barely made it by before. I have gone back down there to solo and it is a bit harder on my energy but still fine once i get going (i havnt gone down much since i think he is flagged so ive been spending my time else where and trying new builds, you gotta give the Rit a break once and a while, lol).

It's taken me longer to get used to the buffed nightmares than the nerfed AV/SV. I still use this build when I can't stand to use the W/Rt out of boredom. Much more exciting.

yah that's the build..after seeing the video i've been using it a couple days and have gotten 9 ectos...
You kill the grasps pretty much the same way you kill the smites. Just cast CwD and Splinter Weapon and wait for energy to regen a bit then run up aggro a group of grasps at the top of the stairs and sprint back down. That way only the grasps will follow not the ataxs. Then just unleash your combo Glads -> CwD -> Ancestors ->Drops Item -> Cyclone Axe, by this time they should be low on health if not dead. If they aren't dead hit them with your axe a few times to charge bonettis. Use bonnettis to protect or self and get energy and hit them with Ancestors. Also, use Healing sig before or after bonnettis if you need it.
This build does take a bit of practice and you need to be very aware of your aggro since you are squishy.

Its a nice 15-20 mins faster than the VwK, and about the same mechanics as far as aggro.

With that Rt/W build, how do you run past the aatxes since you have to wait 12 seconds before it recast because sprint needs strenght and only stays for 8 seconds? The first part before the gate it won't be a big problem, but it will when you want to go past the gate, it's a too big space to run it in 8 seconds.
