It would be nice if we could set the visible status of ALL equipped items--- in town and out. I saw an idea similar for melee weapons to be sheathed, but this idea applies to all equipment, including armor. I'd like to run around with my warrior shirtless without taking 300 damage. : ]
Weapons can only be hid in town, though. They must be visible in battle... Otherwise, you would be shooting an arrow out of air.

Signed, but you shouldn't be able to hide your armor when outside.. That is just ugly, why would you? But weps would be nice in towns, cause I don't really see a reason to get a nice skin when the only time someone see it, and noone really PUG anymore.

I think the ability to show off weapons would be cool in towns. And I also agree that parts of armor should have the choice to be shown or not outside of town. Most of the Warrior armor is only a shoulder plate anyway. Their chests are almost bare in many instances.

Hahaha! I like the idea, I wanna go topless with my warrior, is cool. Also, this remember me one of my own ideas: The ability of use event hats on top of armor (not removing it) just re-skin it temporally, that way you can use event hats ALWAYS even at PvP without lose armor level, runes, etc. For this is just needed a new slot in inventory for equip the special hat without altering the real one.

Plus, this would make those rare skinned weapons that much cooler.

So its realistic to take fatal damage 1000x over without wearing armor, but its not okay to inflict damage without weilding a weapon. Eh?

The only thing that prevents a large part of the GW playerbase from playing with completely naked characters is the fact that they take fatal damage from everything. I don't know about you, but I'd prefer if naked dancing wammos were restricted to towns, because if they could do that stupid shit in missions also, that would put the final nail in the coffin for GW "multiplayer".
As for being able to show off your weapon in town, I don't see why that would be necessary. The only thing this could possibly do is promote e-peen contests, and I think there's already way too much of that immature nonsense going on already.

/signed. Don't know about the whole armor issue but love the idea of showing off your weapon and off hand items in town. As someone stated before, no one gets to see what you have unless you are in a PUG; and that doesn't happen as often anymore. It will also increase the value of certian items as more players will see them and want them. Seeing them on Wiki and seeing them in game being two different experiences completely. That is a whole other aspect of this game; the buying and selling community. So, hopefully the devs are reading and we get enough folks to sign this. They can always just give us a toggle and we can choose for ourselves whether we want to flash our gear or not.

Yes please, I wanna hide my focus item, sandals and gloves, because they're all ugly
DarkGanni
hiding armor parts yes, hiding weapons no, only reason I said yes on the armor parts cause we already can remove helm if the game would be realistic a critical hit to the head would behead the player.
