I was just wondering why armour has to be customized. If it wasn't, players could sell old armour at a fair price, instead of the rock bottom ones that we have at the moment. I don't see any problems about not having customizing optional, but if you spot one, could you reply?

I think it's customized to help prevent a player being scammed out of his armor.

Weapon customization is optional and we see posts all the time about someone losing a weapon to a scammer. A weapon can be replaced much cheaper (at least stat-wise) than 15k or FoW armor.

You'd have people selling end-game armor to level 1's, or just getting it with an end-game toon and passing it along to a new toon. All in all it isn't the end of the world, but you get there soon enough so lets leave a little work for it.

I believe it is also done to stop a major inbalance in the PvP arenas earlier in Prophecies. Imagine a level 10 Warrior with endgame (80AL) armour in a level 10 arena? He would be pretty much invulnerable!

Buy a run from Ascalon to Droknar's Forge. Buy max armor...same result

/agreed, not saying it CANT be done another way, but it sure stops over inflated prices in that area of the market.
