Go through every campaign, which to start in?

If your goal is to go through every PVE campaign and you own all three GW editions, which campaign does it make more sense to start in? Is there a reason it is smarter or more efficient to start in one campaign over another? Say for example, in Prophecies there are many quests to get skills for free. This would be a good reason to go through Prophecies first, then again if you start in Nightfall you get Heroes quicker and make it easier. Then again in Factions you get the fastest XP. Maybe I have answered my own question but looking for advice from someone who has or plans to do this. Thanks.

Do a combo:

- Start in Prophecies but do missions/primary quests to get to Lions Arch
- Hop over to Kamadan and collect "starter" heroes
- Get Olias and Zenmai
- Carry on with Prophecies to keep accumulating skills

Note that the other 2 chapters award more skill points and gold so it is somewhat balanced as far as skill acquisition. It takes a lot of time to hunt down and complete the skill quests whereas you visit a skill trainer and buy what you want.

I agree with Dean, he has a fairly simiar strategy to what I use.

if its your first character prophecies is easily the best, but if you just want to get a working lvl 20 quick go with factions.

I would say Coloneh is right about Factions being the fastest way to level 20. However, I'm going to say I'd start with Nightfall due to the nice tutorial and information provided by the game as well as the heroes. Prophecies pre-searing was learn by doing and I found it took quite several weeks to figure out some of the stuff you learn in the first couple of hours in Nightfall. The tutorial is availabe in Factions also, I just found that game to be the least satisfying of the 3.

If you want to complete them in storyline order, you should finish Prophecies and Factions first, before going onto Nightfall. As a series of games, they kind of made this a "trilogy" in that some of the things that have happened in Prophecies and Factions affect what is going on in Nightfall. I would strongly suggest that you beat them in that order, or some things in Nightfall won't make any sense due to missing storylines from Prophecies and Factions.

I am glad you brought that up cuz if you didn't I was. I would also reccommend to do it in the chronologically released order (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall). If you have a core class, you'll be able to pick up skills from some quests along the way that you won't have to buy later on. It sure helps once skills become 1k a piece.

Id start in nightfall and go all the way through to complete the game levelling ALL your heros to 20 then giving them good pve builds which will give you a wide variety of choice, with the right heros, move to factions as it is quick completion and more general experience for you then finish with phrophecies all the way through you will be very advanced, have 15k armour great heros and lots of experience playing you will smash it once you have done that begin doing elite missions if u r the right prof and UW, FOW etc
