I searched this topic and found a thread that was beaten to death so kinda nervous about this but the ideas are much different so here it goes.
I think when a weapon is customized it is customized for your whole account and for a larger fee 1k or so you can recustomize that weapon for another one of your characters only so if you make a new char or mess up and customize something on accident you can recustomize for another one of your characters only so a custom weapon still cannot be sold but gives you more flexability on your own account let me know what you think and please be nice.

/signed. This would be cool. Of course no PvP weapons to costumize for PvE characters. I have a lot of costumized weapons for my warrior, but now, I want to make a male instead of the female and don't want to delete the weapons with my character

You enjoyed the +20% damage bonus, therefore you made a decision.
Now you have to either continue using it on that one character, or get a new one for another character on your account.
The more PvE becomes account based as opposed to character based, will end driving GW further into the ground.
PvP is your account based environment - keep it there.

/Signed. This is highly annoying if I've got one good weapon that I can use on 2 characters.
Costumizing would still have a disadvantage because you can't resell it

This sounds reasonable to me. I like the idea of spending 1K to be able to re-customize it for another character *in my account*. I would say that I shouldn't be able to pass the item to another account and have that account customize it. The customization would still stay character-based, it could just be transferred within that count for 1K a shot.
As said, it would be only for PvE items that were customized at the weaponsmith.

As long as everything stays for a single account, it's fine with me.
Specially for the sake of Heroes.

To have weapons customised for an entire account would be neat. Would save me having to get like 8 copies of the same damned Green just to kit out every single character (or rather their heroes) with one. I'd just swap it to whichever needed it most at any one time...
1K fee? If it was a one-off... yeah. If it was every time you wanted to switch the weapon to another character then I wouldn't bother. It'd be easier to just get a new one in most cases.
