Will, the first thing I will say is that... I'm a DoA noob, I have only beaten 2 out the 4 areas (city+stygian) and do not have 8 hours a day grinding to 2 hard ones. I'm just asking this question out of my curiousity and I'm not really trying to force you to use these skills.
The description says for arcane larceny and theivery says that one spell for the enemy is disabled and they replace that one. Since you can't replace monster skills, it should be recharged instantly. So, is this skill disabled for Mallyx? I hear Diversion will disable his skills for a period of time, but not really sure? Has anyone ever tested this out?
Also, mallyx has two skills that are not spells, they can be stolen with Simple Theivery.
Would anyone like to test if this works? Or if someone already tested this out. If this actually disabled his skills you can just bring a person with these spells and steal all of mallyx's skill bar, you know, since all these has instant recharge, just spam them would shut down mallyx's deadly offence.
Will Arcane Theivery, Arcan Larceny, or Simple Theivery work on Mallyx

It didn't work on Glint... So I'm pretty sure it won't work on Mallyx.

You cannot have monster-only skills on your skillbar. From previous evidence you cannot disable them either.

Diversion work?

yeh im sure it will..actually the only way I think u could shut mallyx down is with blackout....only way to disable all his skills but it doesn't last long enough, and you definitely need Soothing Images, but you could also combine that with power block....probably need a N/Me. Or you could use Visions of Regret since mallyx uses so many adrenaline skills. Clumsiness might work as well, and u could replace visions of regret with Ineptitude, and u could have Web of Disruption.

Hum, what's the point of going N/Me with an all Me skills build? Still the mesmer hate somewhere? Or no team will allow a mesmer to join them as they mostly think they are useless...
For long duration of Blackout you may go with a Quickening Zephir and some mana support or an Echoed Blackout?
So, will Mallyx be the ultimate boss defeated by a mesmer...the answer may lie in your hand, if you are willing or not to bring a mesmer along...
My 2 euro cents...

You may want to examine the skill Blackout again by reading it before you make suggestions of echoing it.

My 2 euro cents... Unfortunately, bringing a Me-primary may not be an option. Mallyx is the last leg of a long quest, and the party builds to complete the first four legs have mostly comprised of W, E, N, and Mo classes. That's not to say there aren't any mesmers out there ready to take on Mallyx, but the numbers are likely to be small. This is also true with rits, another class that might prove useful against Mallyx.

U can apply 5 times Blackout in a row such way. I don't see the point of what u want to point out. U can shutdown anyone almost permanently. Its a bit boring, but the target cannot do anything for 30 secs

-and back to what Dragou was saying I don't believe there are any primary mesmers who have beaten the first 4 in order to get to the citadel and Hengist it doesn't really sound like you have much experience in domain of anguish and you sound like you hate people who won't bring mesmers into their party's when really everyone has tried these things and they have not worked out at all
-and also it will probably be fixed once they revert all the test weekend changes back to normal...hopefully...if it doesn't happen like most people are expecting it to, you will notice a lot more people complaining about mallyx

Monster skills on bosses in general cannot be diverted, +timed from disrupting shot/lunge/whatever or blacked out (just like Shiro). Since you cannot for example inspired enchant get *take* blessing of the kirin, yet it still removes it (same for Kanaxai's enchants) the inspired *does not* give you the skill though. In short while you will not get the monster skills and larceny et all will recharge instantly, you probably also will not get the benefit of removing them from Mallyx's skillbar.
