More types of Bags: Storage runes.
MithranArkanere
Here's something most people notice in his first day of playing and then forgets, to never think about it.
The idea is not in the index, neither appears on searches, so...
What about more types of bags?
- To keep the size of the All bags panel (F9), bags over 2 rows high would have a scrollbar.
- Major(purple) and Superior(gold) runes would be found as monster drops ONLY. They could have an NPC trader, thought.
- Many runes would change the skin of the bag.
- Major and Superior Bag runes would require you to use the previous rune first, so you'll have to use the normal, then the major, then the superior.
- Although you won't be able to recycle bags, using a different type of rune may either have no effect or banish the previous one like armor runes do.
- To prevent storage abuse, a character won't be able to use two bags of the same type. Including the holding ones. So the 20 'of Holding' slots would stay the same.
Rune of Holding
Like the one we currently have. This will replace having two bags, leaving the third slot free for another different bag type.
Skin: Bag (current).
- Normal: From 5 to 10 slots.
- Major: From 10 to 15 slots.
- Superior: From 15 and 20 slots.
Rune of Crafting
Gives much more slots, but only allow crafting materials and salvage kits inside the bag.
Skin: Tool case.
Nomal: from 5 to 15 slots.
Major: from 15 to 30 slots.
Superior: From 30 to 60 slots.
Rune of Wearing
Again more slots, but allows only armor sets.
Skin: A knapsack.
Nomal: from 5 to 15 slots.
Major: from 15 to 30 slots.
Superior: From 30 to 60 slots.
Rune of Arsenal
A bit of more slots, but allows only weapons, focuses and shields.
Skin: A tied fabric.
Nomal: from 5 to 15 slots.
Major: from 15 to 20 slots.
Superior: From 20 to 30 slots.
Rune of Hunting
Much more slots, but allows only trophies (collectable drops).
Skin: A backpack.
Normal: from 5 to 20 slots.
Major: from 20 to 40 slots.
Superior: from 40 to 80 slots.
Rune of Partying
Some more slots, but allows only event and consumable items (Drinks, Edible stuff, Miniatures, Tickets, etc...)
Skin: A hamper.
Normal: from 5 to 20 slots.
Major: from 20 to 35 slots.
Superior: from 35 to 50 slots.
Rune of Keyring
Some more slots, but allows only keys.
Skin: A keyring.
Normal: from 5 to 15 slots.
Major: from 15 to 25 slots.
Superior: from 25 to 40 slots.
Rune of Briefcase
Some more slots, but allows only books, scrolls and tomes.
Skin: A briefcase.
Normal: from 5 to 15 slots.
Major: from 15 to 20 slots.
Superior: from 20 to 25 slots.

Good Idea and might help appease us with storage again.

This is actualy a good idea that could solve the storage issue and make every one happy.
Only probleme I could see would be osem one carring 6-7 suit of armor on him

So far there are 8. Two more and people could have one in each profession, XD.

Please add one for Green Weapons Collection. I plan to collect them all, but with the limited space who dare venture into such a quest....
take_me
Very nice suggestions. I'd like to see some of those ingame^^
the Puppeteer
would anet even consider this?
MithranArkanere
I seriously doubt it, there are storage limitations, and this, unlike the 'use the Resilience monument as wardrobe' idea, would require to actually increase storage.
But it's a still a good idea, and even better for GW2.

Anyway, /signed. Good idea.

I really like this. This is one of those things I see in World of Warcraft that I covet so much in Guild Wars!!

another issue on storage and/or organization.
in most cases you have enough bag space unless you have like half your inventory filled with other armor sets for your character and what not...
they can add all these runes that you've listed above except make them storage upgrades for yourself i think that would be more unique then having to go through a bunch of bags.

Great idea, but I think the only problem would be complaints of "Hard to keep track of all my items..."

I want one for greens.

People aready spread items among many characters. At least with this people would have better reason to buy more slots over 10 or 12.

Come on... Read.
MithranArkanere
Actually, the arsenal bag would fit any weapon/offhand.
I don't know if it would be better if it fitted only customized items, so I left the idea without that requirement.
