thelegendozelda

To OP: You are right when you say Nutella rocks!!
On another note, I would be happy if A.Net scapped every single other improvement that had going right now and created an auction house. Hell, 10 months ago I would have probably bought an expansion that was ONLY a valid trade system for $10-20.
At this time, I've given up on it. It's such an easy feature to program (no bullshit) and yet they've taken such a freakin' long time to NOT EVEN IMPLEMENT IT. If you can find me a single person who plays this game and wouldn't be happy to see an auction house or trade station, I'll give you a cookie. The fact that people have to (not choose to but HAVE TO) rosort to web sites like guru in order to buy/sell/trade their goods is a bran new testament to programmer laziness, as far as I'm concerned. It's pretty pathetic when you need to leave a game just to sell something you find in the game....
.....well, that or spam spam spam.

And as much as I like the titles, I'd rather they work on something more important (Chap. 4, HA, "balancing") and release other features later (titles, etc. Although I'd like a Spearmarshall title soon...)
To, Mqstout: About the Elite missions, what do you mean? I was a little confused by your statement...Are you saying that ANet delivered the promise of open access to the Elite missions??

After reading through this entire post, All I can say is just...
Wow!
Wow!

I'm still lost as to the concept that ANet owes its players anything at all? This whole argument is tied to the concept that promises made months ago (which might as well be an Ice Age ago when it comes to current trends in product design and implementation) are crucial priorities for today's players and for developers.
Why we think that should be the case is beyond me. They'll update what they can, what they feel is important, when they can. To suggest that the game's well being isn't a concern of the company's is hogwash; of course it's a concern if they want to stay in business!
In similar fashion to people who don't like like commercials, I say: If it bothers you, change the channel - don't sit on the couch complaining about it.

There's nothing wrong in asking for things or asking when certain features will be ready but don't act like you're entitled to something you've asked and make "promises" sound like they're written in blood in some contract.

You definitely don't speak for me. I'm so tired of reading this stupid, "OMG A-Net never gives me what I want!!!!11!"
Seriously, go to Sardelac and read the big huge list made of all our suggestions and look how many they implemented. I never thought they really implemented as many things as they really did until I looked there. Be patient, they said there is one coming.

Hardly. Why? Because Guild Wars, both the core and the episodic content releases are buggy to the point where releasing them without continuing subsequent updates and fixes should be a crime. There are critical bugs in Guild Wars that have been allowed to exist for almost two years without having been addressed. No matter what you do in Guild Wars, you're very likely to run into, at the very least, one bug while doing it. I have played a lot of games in my time, and I can count on one hand the games I've played that have had more technical glitches than Guild Wars. If ArenaNet is going to excuse this abhorrent lack of quality control and bug fixing with that they're working on new content and new features, I'd say the players have every right to complain when these things aren't implemented. I would by far prefer getting my content and features with the chapters, if it would mean that ArenaNet would spend their time fixing the countless bugs in their game inbetween releases. When that isn't an option, however, I feel that I have every right to be frustrated with them when what they promise in place of these fixes turns out to be vapourware. |
So please, let us know some of these bugs that are so earthshattering. And I mean bugs that actually stop the game, not bugs like "The armour didn't look right!"
