SF, UW, FOW keyless chests

Are the chests easy to find? Do they appear everytime the area is run? Are they a reward at the end on an area? Or are they buried in the middle so a
player has to keep an eye out for them. Thanks.

As written in the link provided by Kosh, the chest you're talking about are referred to as "unlocked chests". 3 Spawn during the Kilroy Stonekin quest in SF, and some spawn after completing certain quests in FoW and UW.

They usually only drop purple weapons. I have persoanlly never seen a gold drop, however some peopel claim they have seen a gold drop before. If golds can drop it must be super super rare.

PS-I'm talking about the Sorrow's Furnace Kilroy chests.

Really? Where do players get the gold Crystalline? Do items like that drop randomly, very rarely, from miners or phantom chests? Or from monsters? Thanks for the help. I'm obviously new to these areas.

Gold crystallines come from HoH chests and used to come from Dreadnaught's Drift chests.

They used to spawn from any chest kryta and onward.

are these the buried treasuretreasure chests that we speak of? if so, i found one in NF. wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but i clicked it and out comes a gold scimitar.
i reload a few times and it's empty every time after.
