The BIG Weekend Event Question?

Hello

Just about everyone knows about the special event this weekend. This thread is refering to the free access into the Canthan elite missions.

My question is how many of you are going to leave your characters in there come Sunday night? Will you leave all your characters in an elite mission or none at all? I think I'm going to leave the characters I don't play much in an elite mission just for the hell of it.

So what are you planning on doing?

Nothing. The Canthan elite missions are just slightly less of a waste of time than DoA is. And even more boring.

i didn't bother back then, and i won't bother now.
i did UW / FoW back then, did a little bit of DoA now, but the restrictive Deep / Urgoz never tempted me one bit.

I'm not going to bother. I was annoyed long ago by the roadblocks Anet put on various areas of the game, and hence pretty much lost interest in going there at all. I might be interested if they moved the restrictions entirely, but untill then, don't expect me in these areas.

Has the event already started? I couldn't find any npc that could transfer me to urgoz outpost.

The NPC is oposite to Eurayle (that's the one for Deep, forgot the name of Urgoz) at Kaineng Center.
He's near the entrance to the emperor.

Talk to Vash in Kaineng. He's near the Imperial Quartermasters.

Yes, I am leaving two characters on a secondary account in the areas, so that I can gt back in with any of the other professions I choose to. I enjoy the missions and I enjoy the drops.

Well Anet has said that they would allow alternate access to Urgoz/Deep for a while now....

Elite mission: I don't have the time for that, not all in one shot like these demand. I've got taxes to do, a closet to clean out, etc. What adult has 5 or 6 hours to sit down and play these days? Pffft.

well i completed it with guildies and it was soooo boring lol. i got no gold drops or anything......but it was all owrth it in the end when i got urgoz's Longbow

I completed The Deep first time, and Urgoz Warren third time (though the first 2 were false starts with people not ready). I feel no urge to ever play them again.

Exile a character to Cantha? No Way!!! I may hook up with my alliance buddies and give it a go. But to leave a character there? Not a chance!

Finally got thru Urgoz after multiple tries with PUGs. Only took a bit over 2 hours too. But this was with a pretty exp group, and someone was trying something different that seemed to work pretty well.

Now that it's done I don't really feel like doing it again as it's kinda dull, but I'll park a couple of characters there, just for the chests.
