Small question:
Ok, let's assume I have a Elonian Char and bring him to Tyria...can I only do the Quests after LA, or all of them? And what about the Missions?

you can only do quests from Lions Arch and onward, and you can go back and do the missions prior to Lions Arch if you're trying to get extra XP/Skill Points and Protector Titles. But, as far as the skill quests go you can only get those from Lions Arch and on ward, no quests before Lions Arch.

You CAN do the early missions in prophesies as well, but no xp/skill point reward, so you can get protector.

Not to threadjack too much but...
Is the same rule in effect for Cantha's first two missions? I can get into the mission launch points but cannot access the missions themselves. My Nightfall character would love to claim a little more glory but she's just locked out.

both the missions on the starter island of Factions are open, just walk through the gate, but its a bit of a run... oh and whilst going through Haiju Lagoon, the Beast mission is available to characters from all chapters, go and listen to the story to the children in the village and the quest will activate

To enter missions in Prophecies and Factions you need to click the 'Enter Mission' button on your party menu whilst in the Mission outpost.
