Festival question

i only have nightfall right now but want to get in on the full festival this weekend and cant afford factions just yet. would the 10 hour factions trial that ships with nightfall let me into canthan and participate in the event. i really want one of those masks

I think it can, you just need to quickly run from Kaineng Center to the Marketplace, then to Shing Jea, and hopefully in time for a mask. I know of this ranger that bought some 10G Sunspear Armor while using a Nightfall Trial Key.

So, as long as you time it right, (I'd probably enter the key 20-30 mins before the masks are handed out) you can do it easy because running from KC to MP to SJM has weak or no mobs.

EDIT:When you're finished getting a mask, zone back somewhere safe in Tyria or Elona. I don't know what would happen if you left your favorite character in SJM, and unable to access him/her :/

I've actually always wondered about those trial keys. I was curious if you could have used one to do the elite missions in Factions this past weekend. I have all 3 games so I can't test it but it would be nice to know for bringing friends along for things like this.

I think you can, and after you get the mask just show it to the mask copier and viola, you can get it for any char

i am pretty new to the game all together so i dont know when they hand out masks or how that works.

is it gonna happen on the last day or something?

i will buy factions when i can but wanted to make this event and spend it in canthan with the rest of my guild who all just bought factions

if trial key ends while u r in another continent like that u'll just zone to the starting of nf (since u have nf) instead of the place u wanted to go, u will still have your items but not skills if u bought any.

a friend of mine, got a set of droks armor on a trail key,

and he wears it......but doesnt even own Prophcies!

I used a Nightfall trial key to attend the Wintersday festival in Kamadan, so odds are that you can do what you want. You just need to keep track of your 10 hours so that you have time to get to Shing Jea Monastery AND get your mask.
