Well right now I'm rushing through factions to get Glass Arrows. Since it's recent buff I was thinking of a spike damage build for rangers. This is my ideal build:
1) Glass Arrows [E]
2) Marauder's Shot
3) Penetrating/Sundering Shot
4) Needling Shot
5) Distracting Shot
6) Savage Shot
7) Either Mending Touch or Whirling Defense
8) Res
I never really tested this out since I don't have Glass Arrows yet. If anyone have advices, I would appreciate it.
Right now this is the build I'm using:

4) Forked Arrows/Sundering Attack
5) Distracting Shot
6) Savage Shot

Both of these builds have the same Attributes:
- Marksmanship - 12+3+1
- Expertise - 12+1
Right now, I really don't know what weapon to use for this build. I use Forgotten Longbow (15^50 20/20 +30) or a Vampiric Recurve Bow with 15^50 and +30. I need suggestions on what bow is best suited for this build.
Right now with this build, I can deal 70+ damage each hit, 50+ to warriors, even hitting 100+ with Marauder's Shot. I don't know if any of these builds are actually good, but I run my build pretty well in all 3 campaigns. I would also like opinions on which build is better.

You can't really spike on your own...
Thats why we were given Heros 3x Marauders Shot/Punishing Shot is enough to kill Margonite casters instantly. Alternatively you can just give them all different builds and completely tear things apart through degen and interrupts.

Yeah, I have to reword what i wrote lol. What I meant was a high damage build.

I played around with this for a while, but the sad thing is that a dervish with no attack skills will outdamage you by far against any 60 AL enemies even if you use an attack skill with every attack. This will outdamage a skilless dervish against a 100 AL enemy, but not by much. This is not to say that any attack skill based build on a ranger is bad, but if pure dps is the only goal, a ranger won't achieve this as well as other classes.

going against test targets, it works real well
dual shot, and certainly forked arrow do 100~damage (2 arrows combined)
highest mauder's hit has been 125! + 5 from vamp

Thats the glory of Punishing Shot. It can be used in high damage spike builds and acts as in interrupt too so you still have the disruption aspect.

the dps with my build isnt too bad :O
with my assassin, and assassins promise, i can knock down the 4 test dummies before the first pops back up.
with my build i got to 3, but theres no deep wound.., or skill recharge..

AOD is sweet. needling shot is redundant...
id say..
marks 16 (3 +1), exp 14 (+2) (actully i think 15marks and 14exp maybe be better) 3 pn deadly, or drop 1 from marks/exp and have 6 on deadly, health runes will makeup partly for -35, ull have - 15 instead

About a week ago, I began working with Glass Arrows and alternatively Incendiary Arrows. Mostly I tested in the Echnovald Forest and the Domain of Secrets. While both were interesting, I didn't find them as successful as builds constructed around Burning Arrow or Punishing Shot.
Obviously, there are many possible reasons for this. It could be the heroes I chose to acompany me were less than optimal or their builds weren't sufficiently synergistic. In any case, I haven't been motivated to work with them since.
