I like the idea of being able to go to either elite mission for a cost of 1000 faction (after beating the campaign).
Cantha needs something to keep people coming back, annual holidays just aren't enough.
Please Anet - keep the Deep and Urgoz open!

Once you beated the game a npc in cavalon and HzH should allow you the access in exchange of 1.000 faction points (of course, free access for the aliances who control the cavalon & HzH)... the system is bad, as actually is the favor of the gods :s

... but ... it only took ANet 6 months and change to open up The Deep and Urgoz. I don't think I can hold my breath for that long while waiting for them to make this change permanent.

Or just get a ferry from someone that owns cavalon or HzH. This would ruin the deep, if you like the deep so badly ab for it or be patient for someone to come in and ferry you. People would ruin the deep and it would be too crowded and no use of it being an elite mission. There is a reason why it is called an ELITE mission. The greens in the deep and urgoz would go way down, and you could get them for a mere 10k later on. |
If they could access it with characters who are ascended and have beaten the Factions campaign then that would be something, just like DoA =\. Are you saying that since people can get into DoA after the completion of the game they are all newbs and they don't deserve it? That is rubbish.
We do get ferry's but there is never anyone there, yesterday was my first time completing a Warren run, which I think all the PUGgers we got to fill our empty spaces got the greens >.>
It is still quite challenging and fun, but I definitely think it is not worth what you are suggesting... I think beating Factions is good enough.

I'd prefer having open access to anyone who's completed the campaign, but the divine ascent idea wasn't horrid either. I had a blast this past weekend doing urgoz/deep. It was nice being able to form groups without having to wait upwards of an hour for enough people to wander in.

Although both elite missions take way too long for me to frequently participate, I think people should have access to them after finishing Factions.
Not having enough players in there to get a group together is what's killing these missions.
The faction for owning towns system is flawed and it's time for Anet to make good on their word that they would open these missions up to all.
