I got two accounts, deleted a character from one so i could use the name on the other account. Said 'another player' is using it.
Downer. Is there a timeout or do names get permanently tied to particular accounts?

1 hour hold after that it is up for grabs

There is a one hour timeout after a character is deleted before the name becomes free to use again. Once the hour is up you can use the name on your other account.

Yes, there is a 1 hour reserve, but be very careful in deciding to do that... Never having problems in the past, I tried to switch a character name over to my primary account about a month ago, and when I went to recreate it after waiting 1 hour, it gave me an error message saying the name or part of it was not allowed in GW (like it was a bad word, which it wasn't). It seems I can no longer use any name with "rmt" in it, or something like that. GW support amounted to nothing. So I lost the name.

what about armor can you switch that to a charicter with the same name. Say you put it in storage and delete charicter then remake it with the same primary profession will that armor go back on the charicter???
