RA/TA 6v6?

What would everyone think about that? A few positives I could see from it is that there would be less imbalances between RA/TA and GvG/HA. Some skills that work great in one dont in others. This idea could close that gap. You'd be able to test out HA/GvG builds slightly more realisticly before actually using it.

Could at least be fun as a weekend event now and then.

It's an interesting idea... I'm not sure how it would end up, but one issue I could see is that one of the nice things about TA is how fast it is to get a team going. That would also make matches longer, and short matches is one of the reasons to go to RA. Although, I don't think a weekend event like that could hurt... I just hope that A-net doesn't make decisions based on it. :\

Imo, just make a 6v6 arena > changing TA/RA. The recent trend seems to be that changing things is ftl.

/agree with vermilion.

Just create a new arena, RA and TA should remain the same.

TA is already suffering from too few players, splitting it up into a 6v6 format and a 4v4 format would kill it entirely, to those suggesting it.

Also, to the OP who suggested the number be increased, TA has too few players to support 6v6 teams. It would also hurt those who like TA'ing when there are too few on to GvG. I don't see the point in closing the gap in build difference between the pvp formats, variety is FUN. It's neat having to think up different team builds for each format. Turning TA into a testing bed for HA skills would be pointless, since you lose nothing by testing it in HA. It's not like you lose rank from losing.

4v4 is perfect for an arena where splits aren't possible. If it were 6v6 spike gimmicks would become far too viable.

What about RA as 6v6 and leave TA as 4vs4? Although that woud mean no going to TA once you get to 10 wins.

Maybe if TA was 6v6 it would have more players? Maybe allow heroes (max 2) in teams?

I dont think the draw of RA is short matches its more getting into the action quicker instead of waiting around for 30 minutes putting a team together.

6v6 in RA would just make bigger nub teams and it would be chaos. But I guess there would be more chance of getting a better team.

I'm all for 6v6 RA and TA in addition to the other two kinds. Maybe even an 8v8 RA would be nice too.

RA/TA should be 8vs8 since skills are balanced with 8vs8 in mind.

No they aren't. The most important game type, GvG, includes not just 8v8 encounter, but 4v4, or 2v2, even some 1v1.

A skill shouldn't be overpowered in any XvX situation, but that doesn't mean all skills should be useful in all such sitations.
