They should have an easier way to reorder your party. Something like being able to drag party members in your party box to different spots in your party and the like.

Do you mean to just crag and drag people into slot 1-8 of your party box?
Such as..... a monk is in slot 2, you drag him/her down to the 8th. Is that what you're going at? Can't tell.
