I was looking at the site, and it doesn't seem to mention anything about monsters dropping festival related items... Given farming and the other holidays, do you think that the new year will be more quest related rather than relying on drops as the major source of items?
I know that no one really knows, but speculation can't hurt, especially with the festival right around the corner.

You can't really farm jade wind orbs (until the festival starts) or festival tickets, so there's not much to do for this event but wait. You could farm for money to buy festival tickets if you'd like. =)

I still have 400 or so jade wind orbs from last event. If they are used in this event I will be selling them the day the event starts for huge profit

Naw, no Jade Orbs for this one. This'll be much different. I don't even think the quests or items have began to drop for this event.
