encourage more use of the party search window

Lately I've noticed several towns that appear to have multiple groups spamming LFG/GLF for various things, but there is not a single entry in the party search window. Since very few people are actually using it, it might as well not be there. So I propose the following to encourage more people to use it:

If someone places any message into local that includes LFG or GLF while they have the party search window closed then it should pop up for them to look at.

If they don't already have an entry for their party listed there, then as well as the window poping up they should get a big message on their screen advising them to place an entry there. Make it come with an annoying sound.

Whatever happens I'd suggest that the LFG message into local doesn't get suppressed as that would just get people going "LF G" "G LF" like they did with the trade filters.

Not too sure about this...I feel like it would be going the wrong way to "bug" them to use it. No one likes an annoying game.

But damn. On the other hand, if no one uses it then why would ANet waste time with it? It is pretty sad that this is a very underused feature, and it was really nice of ANet to give it to us. Right now, I feel like the best route of action is to ask *why* people don't use the party search.

People don't use it, because there is no need to.

If they do need to group, there's nobody to group with, because there is no need to group.

Somewhat convoluted, but here's an example. When someone arrives into an outpost, they want to do a mission. PUG or Heroes? Duh... And then, there's someone who would want to do a master's level quest. But nobody else is doing it at the moment, or doesn't have the quest at the same level. Hence, nobody to group with.

The problem isn't with search feature - it's with mission and quest design, which makes it unfeasible to group.

no id dont agree the problem is no use... i can see in small outposts ok i understand that but in ha and ta where EVERYONE is spamming lfg or glf it would be much nicer to look through a list and get what you need instead of staring at chat and waiting for the right thing to pop and and quickly trying to pm them then hopeing they didnt get someone else.... really people need, i stress NEED to start using this feature more, at least in pvp.

Yeah, I hate it in HA when I have to diligently have to watch the text box for someone that I need in the party.
I don't know about suppressing LFG after having it typed in once, there'll probably be a suggestion here later about taking it off if it were implemented.
