Please don't force us to use heroes in chapter 4

I really don't like being forced to use specific heroes for missions and primary quests for the following reasons:

1 - They take up a party slot, meaning that you can't take as many human players along even if you want to and have enough people.

2 - If soloing you may be forced to take along heroes of classes you either don't want, don't have the skills for (henchs of that class have better build than you can give your heroes), or don't know how to setup.

3 - If you have already setup on hero of that class, you may be forced to use a hero of a lower level and less effective runes. Then you either have to put up with having a weaker hero, or go power-level the other one and go through either the expense of also setting them up or the hassle of moving their runes over. Even with guildwiki saying that there is no risk of losing the runes/insignias thats still 5 runes and 5 insignias that need to be moved or bought.

If the storyline requires you to be with a particular hero at any point, I suggest having them tag along as an ally to the party and if that hero is in the party then use its alternate name.

I don't mind being forced to take heroes for the side quests as these are optional, but if I have to do the quest to complete the chapter then I want to be able to take my choice of heroes.

I also agree.

I hate using heroes for a number of reasons:

1:The only way to get decent heroes is to buy Vigors/Insignias. No way I can afford, or will spend that much money to gear up all my heroes.

2:Hench do the job better

3: Doesn't make guild-questing as fun anymore. One less guild member to fight with.

Infact - we should be able to spawn runes and insignias for our heroes providing we have unlocked them imo. Way too time consuming and expensive to gear up heroes.

As Heroes are (at this point) unique to Nightfall, I don't see how ArenaNet could justify making any one Hero required to progress through a point in the next Chapter.

I'm expecting ANET to also make heroes for each new chapter. At the very least I expect heroes for the new classes there.

Funny, my heroes are running on runes / equipment that I've found along the way, maybe the occasional minor rune for a head piece has been purchased, but they seem just fine to me. Nobody forces you to spend $$$ on your heroes, just give them the crap you find and don't necessarily want to use. As for hench doing the job better, maybe you should check the build(s) you're giving your heroes, hench only have 4 or 5 skills at most, heroes have a full 8 (if you give them to them)

yes /signed i hate haveing 3 lvl 20 heros i use all the time and find out i need to use my lvl 2 hero to do this mission... not fun
