I think they should make a Guild Wars messenger that would allow you to sign on and chat to people in your alliance/guild with out having to sign on GW. because sometimes i dont feel like playing but i still want to talk to my guildies

There's xfire, forums, and other IMs for that. Adding a messenger also wouldn't make much sense if it was a separate program from GW.

I'm in favor for major revisions on the friends system, but I see no need for a messenger.

Add them to MSN/AIM/Whatever IM you use. No reason for ANet to make one.
