Pre-searing?!
I think ArenaNet just put all the collectible items into an RNG. Yeesh, that's random.

... Here's to hoping Ice golems in n. shiverpeaks start dropping Lodestones...
Everythin' else looks easy enough to get.
And to help you peeps out - To get easy Guardian Mosses, take your ranger out in to Pongmei Valley, long or flatbow at the ready. Using a spikey kinda build (Kindle, Dual Shot, Marauder's - you know the drill) simply solo-spike the Island Guardians from outside of their casting range, and outside the Wallow's aggro. There's even convenient ledges around to get more range on the Guardians.
::EDIT:: forgot to mention - enter from Boreas Seabed 'cuz thats where the Guardians are! (as well as a luxon monk to heal you if things go awry)

I got some items for Imperial Chef Jiong (hard for me to get a good amount)
Archaic Kappa Shells-was a pain to get more then one drop.
Mantis Pinchers-easy to get.
Kraken Eyes-hard to get one to drop can't rememeber how many runs I made.
Naga Hides-easy to get since you can get it on starter island.
Farming code would kick in to fast to really bother trying to get a mass amount of all the items you need. Plus the time you have to spend waiting to get a drop. My luck isn't as good as others when it comes to drops.
Plus time vs reward hmm I don't see they pay off.

Mantis Pincers are from Echovald Forest, aren't they?
The ones on Shing Jea Island are "MantiD Pincers"

And... off to farm griffins again.
Man I wish I could use my 100+ warden horns for this.

Dammit, I just recently deleted my Canthan character, so I hope I have a few of those collectibles lying around on one of my storage chars.

Anyone had completed one of the chef's request yet? What collectible item did you get from it?
sindex
Does anyone have an easier method in getting the Smoking Remains from the Nightmares on the Ring of Fire Mission? I only found 3 of them throughout the entire mission.

He didn't say or do anything different while I had the items in my inventory.

The weekend is not long enough for this event for those of us with families and other matters to tend to.

Time to beat up some monsters.
I wonder if there is some other way to get the Icy Lodestones, since I know I for one aren't bringing a char to post just to get those items to the festival.

Here's the real question... will we actually need to get all the items, or is it a case where any of the items are good enough to get stuff? Perhaps the dafault is that the pig will be happy regardless.
Perhaps, also, you get a little extra something for more things delivered? Say 1 token per item delivered, but a bonus 5 if you complete a meal?

What does the Chefs give us anyway?
Former Ruling
I solo farmed Island Guardians for an hour last night (Killing the 3 just outside of Boreas with the healing help of the luxon priest) and never got ONE Guardian Moss, I even got a Gold Item!
Some of these items will have to have their droprates modified for the weekend if they want us to get more than 1-2 of them...
I went through the games multiple times and have NEVER got some of these collectibles
EDIT:
Nothing as of yet, they apparently still say the same thing when you have the items in your inventory. Probably just added early so we could see the list of items we'll need when they actually add the feature to the game.

I just see no value in going around all these places looking for stuff. Obviously Anet would have to have these things start dropping in Cantha for the event because how in the world would Factions only people (yes they do exist, have one in my guild) get Icy Lodestones and a lot of other stuff? Same thing for people who's slots are all used up. Like one poster said, it doesn't seem like the time put in will be worth the reward. Good luck to you all with the time though.

the icy lodestone thing brings up a bit of a conundrum for me. I do have a pre-sear character, with no other free slots. Obviously I'm going to have to sear to get those across. The question is, is it really worth doing so? I would wind up them deleting that character and making a new pre-sear character, as I want to always have one there. I know we don't know this yet, but it's worth keeping in mind. What is the reward? Is it something you can only get from that one chef who wants the icy lodestones?

AZ, my pre-sear is 100% complete, though I haven't done crazy stuff like going for the pre-sear lvl 20 title or survivor. He's ready at a moment's notice to sear. However, you do bring up a good point: it would make more sense for a bunch of people to farm them, then only 1 person sears. But that's the problem.......where do you find a bunch of like-minded people who won't rip each other off in the same situation?

This is fun!
What a great idea!
Let's ask for all sorts of different items, so that players can collect them all!
Not!
I agree with Former Ruling, some things on this list are just beyond 'fun to play the game' to collect. It took me hours of farming Island Guardians to get one Guardian Moss. That's not playable for any casual gamer. I know, I'm freaking retarded that I even tried. And no, farming code did not trigger.
I really hope that all collectors provide the same, and that you can choose which collector you use.
To the OP: fix the Ebon Spider Legs. Your information is incorrect.

...why do you list Undergrowth as "Kaineng City"? As far as I know, the closest thing to Kaineng with Undergrowth is Pongmai Valley.
Even so, you could find a lot more of them (and in group with Dragon Moss, too) in Echovald Forest, The area before Eternal Grove (can't spell the name at the moment) to be exact.
