Male dervishes not running correctly

I logged onto my Dervish yesterday and he looks like he's carrying a quest item all the time whilst moving. IE he has his arms out in front of him with hands upward.
He does this in and out of town no matter what he is actually carrying.
Anyone else found this yet?

Here's a couple of screenies I took today.

I also see other male dervishes doing the same thing.

Anyone got any ideas. I did get a repair archive yesterday when launching the game. Could something have gone wrong with the repair?
But I did ask someone else and he agreed that he sees the same as me.

I'd just uninstall and reinstall the game if I were you.

Try using the -image technique. If that fails, uninstall and reinstall as Dex stated.

Seems like they're holding a bundle. Try swapping weapons?

since all the skill updates (nerfs) the derv has been acting weird

(i'd post a link to a thread about this, but since the admin/mod has the "find all posts by user" turned off[for reg users], i'm not digging thru the forum)

and no, un-installing doesn't seem like the answer, even if it fixes it...what does that mean, you want US (as in all) to un/re-install after updates? That doesn't really fix anything. if the .dat is becoming corrupted, anet needs to address why and how.

I personally haven't had any problems with corruption for quite a while...just once, actually, since the game was released. I'd say that means that it's not everybody that is having problems. If .dat corruption is an ongoing problem then of course ANet needs to fix it, but for the time being rebuilding the .dat from scratch will probably fix the problem. If you want to keep playing a bugged game on principle then more power to you.

lol, if you want to keep re-installing a game based on principle, more power to YOU.

No pissing contest from my end, friend. In the past 2 years I had my gw.dat file get corrupted one time. I deleted the file and let it be rebuilt and I've not had a single problem since. This is the only technical problem I've ever had with the game, which officially makes GW among the most trouble-free games I've ever played over the past 22 years. That's impressive for a MMO that's constantly being updated. No, it wouldn't be acceptable if I had to "keep re-installing a game", but having the .dat file corrupted once or twice over the course of years amid numerous auto-updates is well within the realm of acceptability.

If you're not willing to troubleshoot a problem yourself here and there you have no business playing PC games and should stick to consoles. Of course, there is definitely a line between what a user should be willing to do and what is 100% the developer's responsibility. However, refusing to fix your own problem on principle, moaning and cursing the developer, and dealing with problems that you could easily have fixed in short order is simple stubbornness. All I'm saying is this: if you prefer to go through life being the chronic "squeaky wheel" that's your prerogative, in the meantime others will fix their problem and be far ahead of you by the time you find someone willing to listen to you complain.

As far as why and how...downloads get corrupted all the time. Heck, data gets corrupted all the time. There are numerous technical reasons for this happening. The corruption may or may not even be caused by ANet's code...could have more to do with individual internet connections and PCs.
