Canthan chests, is it worth it

Has anyone computed if statistically is worth it to open canthan chests?

Statistically I think the drop rate of a super rare item are pretty low. I've never personally counted the return on my investment. But a single max gold 15^50 celestial can pay for a ton of keys.

Just like drops it'a a gamble I think. But, as long as you're not looking for the treasure hunter title then I think it's probably worth having a few keys. Perfect mods will pay for the keys over time and the chance at a rare are really enticing. Plus junk golds can be sold all around for 1k ea to people working on thier Id'ing title. So if you get one gold out of every 2 chests you've payed for your keys plus 100gp.

I don't buy Canthan keys (for chests around the City) any more but do use the Kurzick/Luxon and higher ones. Pretty much any key that qualifies for the hunter title I'll buy a couple before setting out.

Yes i think Canthan chests are well worth it. Some of them in certain areas hold Celestial weapons, others just nice items. I found a
Max r8 or 9 (dont remmeber)
Recurve Bow

20% Enchants
bow i sold for 70k

It also depends on what part of Cantha you want to buy keys for. The farther you go, the more expensive they become, but the higher the possible return they may be. If you go to The Deep or Urgoz's Warren, you can get some nice drops that can be worth quite a bit when sold to the right people.

I've never gotten a max celestial of any value/"desirable to use" to drop in Nahpui.

I had a req8 15% enchanted celestial sword drop..only decent drop I ever got from one of those chests.

In general chests are not worth the hassle as most the time you are lucky if you break even.
