so i was thinking..
in prophecies, you have to buy your armor according to what each type does. pyro +firs resist ect..
i bought 15k glads, and i wanted the "wolf mask" back when i first got the games, and i was like.. (im a Canthan boy) what the??? it was only for tactics... i dont even use tactics lol. (normally) im a dps axer, and it was totally useless, also my normal 1.5k armor had almost as much energy without being all glads, because of its inherent +1 energys from Factions. in nightfall, no armor get inherentcies, so its all blank. you can put expensive butt insigs ect.. but like for sentinals.. i paid 1.5k for Cantha's "tyrian" armor, half sents, half glads, and i was looking at my well over 150k all black vabbian armor full sentinals (EXPENSIVE lol) and with sup abso, sup vig, +1 stre, +2 axe,+2 energy, and it had like 23 energy, and the normal hp.. but overall, a lower al ect because of no inherentcies..
do you guys think that thats kinda poopy? it seems that Canthan owns all other types of armor due to all its mods. i have all this on just one piece..
+3 energy
80al
+20phys
-3 damage
where as 15k glads/vabbi/so on so on.. no where near as nice. thoughts?
Confused on armor..

No, the way armours are made and crafter and how they turn out has evolved since the game came out and prophecies was the first way it was done, thats the way it is unless they change it
although, since factions was released, its been rumoured and even talked about by gaile that the armours in prophecies may be changed, but nothings happened yet, maybe due to more important things needing to be done

where as 15k glads/vabbi/so on so on.. no where near as nice. thoughts? This is easily duplicated in Elona:
Warrior Chest armor (skin doesn't matter)
+3 energy (Radiant Insignia)
+20phys (All warrior armor has this)
-3 damage (Superior Absorbtion rune - doesn't matter where the rune is/universal)
or in Tyria:
Gladiator Chest Armor (1.5/15k doesn't matter)
+3 energy (comes on Gladiators)
+20phys
-3 damage (Superior Absorbtion)
How is any of that better than any other, it's all the same stats, just purchased in different forms. Cantha's only benefit is that the [insignia] is built-in and you can choose your skin. Elona has the benefit of choosing whatever skin and replacing the insignia with whatever, but it doesn't automatically come with the insignia - which shows in it's generally cheaper price. Tyria is the only one really 'gimped', but you can duplicate stats, but it's tied to the skin.

Prophecies is the first chapter, and the game had its share of illogic or annoying things. Many will remember the system of skillpoint-redeption, and just as many were very happy to see it go.
Weapons moved over time from very broken (perma 15% no drawback weapons) to mixed bag (pve weapons > pvp weapons) to almost equality (pve = pvp weapons).
The same goes for armor. It evolved over time, and that's why the new chapter armors have more options then the prophecies ones.
"Poopy"? Maybe. But at least the system has moved forward over time...

What? Since when? If you're talking the helm, you can add a Radiant Insignia to the helm, too, while still having your +1 attribute. And price? Like I said, the price is lower in Elona to make up for no base insignia. In Cantha, max armor is at least 1.5k a piece, in Elona, it's 1k. Radiant insignia is right around 500g, and lowering, so it's about the same price. Plus it's more flexible as you can change it anytime.
How is that worse?
Oh yeah, and double-posting FTL.

I agree - I want to keep my lovely Kurzick 15k (IMO it's the best looking female armor) but at some point I would like to change the insignas on it...hope it will come into effect but I'm not that desperate.
