How do I "ally" with the Kurzicks?

Hi all

I know this is a rather silly question so I'll make it short. Recently I bought Factions and am still yet to beat the game (the furthest I'm at is at Senji's Corner). Now, I was browsing GuildWiki and decided: I want to "ally" with the Kurzicks.

Which comes to my question. In order to "ally" with the Kurzicks, that is, have Kurzick NPCs speak to me, offer their services such as the armor crafter etc, what do I have to do? Do I have to:

1. Complete the "Befriending the Kurzicks" quest?
2. Join a Guild aligned with the Kurzicks?
3. Or, accumulate more Kurzick faction than Luxon faction?

If the answer is 3, so simply accumulating more Kurzick faction than Luxon will make all Kurzick services available to me, and the Luxon not? Hence, if I wish to "switch" sides to the Luxons, all I have to do is amass more Luxon faction?

Well if u mean ally as in the quest then all u do is go to cavalon and do some questing and thus do Befriending the Kurzicks quest, this is the storyline alignment.

Howver if you mean ally in order to do alliance battles for the kurzicks then you need to join a Kurzick aligned Guild or create you own guild and align it to the kurzicks in Cavalon. This is the Guild Alignment.

Bur since what you really are after is wanting to talk to the Kursick Npcs then yes you only need to have more kurzick Faction than luxon and yes you can switch to the luxon by amassing more luxon faction than kurzick. This is the Personal alignment.

Thanks for the info. So to AB for the Kurzicks I need to join a Kurzick-aligned guild, but to be able to access Kurzick NPCs all I have to do is accumulate more Kurzick faction than Luxon. U-huh.

Another thing: At some point during the storyline I know that there is an instance where only Luxon-allied players will only be able to do the Gyala Hatchery mission and Kurzick-allied players will only be able to do The Eternal Grove mission. In such a scenario, this "allied" functions under which condition?

The First condition. In order to do Gyala Hatcheries and Uwaking Waters (Luxon) you must have completed Befriending the Luxons Quest and the same with Kurzicks - Eternal Grove/ Unwaking Waters (Kurzick) which require completion of Befriending the Kursicks Quest. However note that can can do both, but the confliction of faction makes things more arkward so its easiest to do all of one one side, redeem all faction and then do all the other side. This alignment is just for advancing the storyline

Ah ok. So Eternal Grove and Unwaking Waters (Kurzick) simply requires the Befriending the Kurzicks quest. Got it. Thanks!
