Hes exactly right I played this weekend for the sole purpose of getting the pet. I never got one from fortunes so I bought one a few hours before the handing out of pigs. I was a little peeved, but I rationalize it as what I paid for one got me (3, and more to come).

I think this is just stupid. In my opinion, Pigs already spawned too often from those Fortunes (except for me, opened 200 now, still no pig), but handing them out to everyone in the district..? There are at least a million Pigs, this just isn't fun anymore. I liked seeing Miniatures in towns, but I really don't feel like seeing any if all I see is Pigs (which is currently happening).

once people get tired of them we won't see them so often -

i still think it was a glitch rather than intentional that pigs were released in fortunes at all.

I'm finding it amusing that even though we are recieving free pigs every 3 hours, people are still buying them for 5-7k o.O

Well in either case, we can expect the prices for them to go up slightly after the event. There will still be a lot of people who missed the event, and will pay good money for one. Not to mention that there will be no more pigs, until next Chinese New Year of the Pig...so expect the price for them to go up!

I doubt it as there is a pretty avid animation for when you get one from a fortune. Really doubt Anet just glitched that in there...

Every Chinese New Year has a different animal, so expect to see a different mini pet next year. Pitty it wasn't around a couple of years ago, I would have liked a Mini Monkey

So, people are complaining that...

1.) There's so many mini pigs that the market is flooded, and they're worthless, and that they should be more exclusive.

and

2.) There's so few mini pandas that they're worth too much, and that more people should be able to get them.

At least we're consistant... not...

Wow these panda minis were around? I never even knew about them until i read this thread......wtf they should really have some sort of summary of an event so you dont have to go on all chat to shout WHERE TO GET EVENT QUEST, or asking everybody on your buddy list just to find out how to get this and that. Nope can't say wiki it because unless it's a week old i dont think wiki will have it on.
