I just bought new armor for my warrior, which is what brought about the question.
In my old armor I had a +1 strength helm, because of my strength shield, I don't often use strength skills though. I normally use swordsmanship skills, and a sword.
I didn't put any sup runes on because I was saving them for this new armor.
Now I'm not sure which att bonuses to go for. the easy choice would be a swordsmanship helm, but I'm thinking of switching to hammer once I beat NF and get forgotten hammer (almost there), but any of the weapon bonuses seem too permanent. That leaves strength and tactics, which give bonuses to their skills and are used for shields, which forces you to choose between the strength and the tactics shields, but if I'm going to use hammer I won't even need a shield!
I have a sup strength rune in my inventory atm, and I haven't bought the new helm, and have kept my old strength shield and sword atm.
Can anyone give me any advice? I want to make this armor perfect because I'm going to have it for a long time.
also,
It is possible to salvage runes out of armor without destroying the armor itself?
I'm thinking it might just be easier to go with vigor and absorption runes etc and take the whole deciding process out of it, because I like to change

my soultion (the rich way): Just buy 1 of each that you think you will need.

Pick a weapon, and get a +1 helm for it, I put weapon runes in the matching helm (So if you switch weapons, you only need to switch helms). Minor runes in tactics and strength are nice if you use skills linked to those atributes, otherwise use vitae runes.
With the exception of the odd farming build, superior strength is not worth the HP loss.
So you're looking at; a +1 weapon helm, with a minor, major, or superior weapon rune; a minor tactics and strength rune; a vigor and absorbtion rune.
If you don't use any strength skills, then use a vitae rune instead. If you don't use any tactics skills, use a vitae rune instead. Odds are however, that you'll use some of both at one time or another, and you might as well just use two minors.

That's cool, thanks for your help
Unfortunately the new armor robbed my bank a little
I think i'll go with a swordsmanship helm and a hammer helm, and maybe a lieutenants.
With the absorbtion and vigor runes, what type should I get? Major or Sup?

Get the best you can afford, and don't put them in helms, because you'll swap helms more than any other gear.

I'll have to save up for Sup vigor then

Lol, yeah buying extra helms is very expensive, I have a suit of 15k luxon and a suit of 10k ancient... and 6 helms!! It costs a lot but It seems the only way if you use a ll 3 weapons (I do).

Another tip: Buy a helm from NF for the hammer helm, since then you can put an ironfist insignia in it and not waste it on gloves when you don't even knock anything down.
What I do is this, for warriors: Helm: Weapon Rune Chest: Vigor rune. Gloves: Strength or Tactics. Legs: Absorbtion. Feet: Whatever you didn't put for gloves (Tactics or strength)
This is the cheapest way for PvE, IIRC. In PvP go all out for one build, so once you have all the runes you need just Vitae it up.
