Greetings

I do apologize if this question has been asked before, or if it's in a sticky. I did a search and found nothing that answered the question, but still i'm sure it's out there somewhere.

I have a trial key that i have been sitting on, and i have found myself in a tight spot for ingame money. Is it legal to sell this trial key to another player for GW gold? It doesn't cost Anet anything, for that matter it would gain them money if the person decided to buy it after they used the trial. I doesn't give me anything except another 25K (or so) or ingame money. Is it or is it not legal? Becuase I definately won't do it if it's illegal.

Thanks to anyone one that answers

If you think anyone would give you 25k for a trial key; you're thoroughly insane.

For the time and hassle it will take to sell your key in-game, you would have better spent your time playing.

There are threads here giving away trial keys for free, and you want to sell yours? I doubt you'd get much, if anything. I'm sure there's a much better way to make gold.

People who need trails don't have ingame money.

Yeah, the 25K figure i just pulled out randomly, I didn't really know how much i could get for it. I just wanted to see if it was legal or not to sell it to some poor guy who got NF for Christmas and didn't have the other two.

Thanks guys for your help and comments, I appreciate it greatly

It's not legal. You're not owner of the key, so you cannot sell it. You also cannot sell it for ingame currency, since Anet owns that currency.

Main reason for that is simple: It's too easy to scam someone and pass such key across as full version.

You can, of course, sell it. Key buyers and sellers often get banned, there were many posts reporting that on this very forum, from people "who did nothing wrong", yet had their accounts perma-banned for trading accounts.

So it's up to you.

Keep the following in mind: People who will want trial keys don't have the game, and as such can't pay in-game money.
