And in reality that would add how much more work for the development team at Anet? Creating armor for
every profession which exist in every previous and current campaign will add alot of work and add to development costs.
As I said in a post, imagine when we get to campaign 4 and they released campaign 5. Lets assume we were up to around 12+ professions with the release of campaign 5.
Your talking about not only designing new armor for the 6 course professions and the two new unique professions. But also armor for the other 4 previous unique professions
plus armor for the new profession in the previous 4campaigns.
Thats
alot of armor they have to design.
It would come to a point where originality was scrapped just to get something made. It would all start to look very similar and they would run out of ideas alot faster.
The fact is that we already have a very wide range of armor for every profession. We have around 4-6 sets for each one, which is alot. And armor which is uniquely designed for each profession, which is something i've not seen in other MMOs.
We should be greatfull for the work Anet has done. They could have just done what WoW does and make us wear generic cloth, mail and leather armor which doesnt even match or co-ordinate. Instead we have nicely designed, combining armor which looks gorgeous.
Im not saying it wouldnt be great if they added new armor each time for every profession. It would. But its a side effect of how Anet made GWs. The reason only core professions is because they are core profession to the fantasy world. They exist on each continent and island.
You dont find Devs in Cantha so how could we have their armor there? it makes no sense culturally.
