Hello guys, the guildwars communities are vast and huge.
I want to play guildwars but my pc is not adequate or better yet,it can't run guildwars.
I found the requirements for guildwars:nightfall.
They are:
System Requirements
Operating System: Windows XP/2000/ME/98
CPU: Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or equivalent
RAM: 512 MB RAM
CD: CD-ROM Drive
Hard Disk Space: 3 GB Available HDD Space
VIDEO: ATI Radeon 8500 or NVIDIA GeForce 3 series video card with 63 MB of VRAM
CPU: 16-bit Sound Card
DX: DirectX 8

Can you guys help me find a notebook that satisfy those requirements and if those aren't, feel free to correct me.Once again,i need help on a laptop that will run guildwars fine.
Thank you mods if that's how you call it here, for moving the thread.

Spending limit? Will it be only for gaming? What's wrong with getting a new desktop?

Answer those questions please.

You probably will not be able to find a new mainstream pc or notebook that can not run GuildWars.

It will really depend on what you plan on doing with the laptop. Is it gaming only or will it be used for business\school too?

I just recently purchased a Dell Inspirion 1501 for $650. I use it to play Guild Wars but I also use it for school. It's a 2.0 GHz AMD with a gig of mem and onboard 256 card, more than enough for Guild Wars.

This question really depends on laptop vs desktop. If you are looking at a laptop, it will cost you more for the hardware, because lappies are constricted and more expensive to manufacture. However, they are portable.

What is MAX you are willing to spend?

It really depends on how fast you want GW to run. If you want 10-20FPS, any low-end computer from Dell should do. Although their "Intel graphics cards" aren't that great for gaming...

Actually i would get a desktop but there is no space, so much furniture in my room that they moved my desktop to the living room.
As for the other questions,im willing to spend over a $1000.I will just use for guildwars and school. I want it to run smooth, not with lags here and there but i don't think i can find it with $1000 but I'll try.

Well, I haven't gotten my copy of the game yet.
But, as a former best buy worker I know a thing or two about computers.
I think about any decent laptop from around $700 on up will do.
I personally recommend Compaq or E-machines products.

I know you don't want to spend more than 1000$. If you can i'd advise getting at least 1Gb Ram especially with a shared video card, and if you can, go with a GeForce instead of those crappy intel graphics, believe me there's a HUGE difference, I got an Intel GMA900 on my PC and a GeForce 6600 on my laptop and the difference is enough to have me play on my laptop even though the processor is 1.6GHz compared to 3.2. The two laptops you found are nice, if you aren't going to get any other components than what you already chose i would go with the DELL one.

Umm, XHTML, that Dell you designed is quite nice, I must say for 1100. I would HIGHLY recommend that! 2GBs of RAM with an x1400 GPU is VERY WELL PRICED there! Buy it... NOW!

EDIT: Upgrade to the next CPU up, the 50$ upgrade for the Core 2 Duo. I worked on dev team for last stages of that when I got on with Intel, it will outperform the Core Duo standard. Trust me, worth 50 bucks! (please don't make me write 8 pages as to why it is better! -_-)
