I would like it if people on your friends list name turned gold like guild/alliance members do. This would make it much easier to find your friends in busy districts.

So you mean they turn gold out in the outpost field itself? At first I thought you mean turn to gold in the buddy list. If you mean out in the outpost, I think that would be a great idea. Infact, if it's possible, I'd like to be able to click or highlight a name on my buddy list and find out which outpost and district they're at.

Maybe not gold, as to confuse with guildmembers/alliance. Maybe a purple? or something else.

I'm actually disappointed that people are still suggesting this. Not because it's a bad idea, but because of the fact that people still suggesting it means that Anet has yet to implement it.

I'd be O.K. if all they did was if in the compass, on the top righthand corner of my screen, that my friends' dots would appear as a different color like a Neon Pink...something that really sticks out.

Guild/alliance member - change the color of their guild tag.
So I don't see this being an issue.
