Alright, the Tusked creatures outside of Yohlon Haven have been a pretty good and steady source of money when i'm bored, but I cannot help wondering something...
I go Mo/Me, and arcane echo SoJ. But 90% of the other players I see are Mo/W. Using Arcane Echo+SoJ, I can complete 1 full run of apes in 5-5 1/2 minutes, netting ~1.5k. But, using the Mo/W, I can do a run in 10-12 minutes, netting ~1.5k. Am I missing something? Why do most players choose to run Mo/W when it seems to be slower?
Am I missing something? Is there a way to extend SoJ's duration beyond the 45% longer from Divine Aura and my 20% Enchanting weapon?

They use a build with http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Wary_Stance to load energy and use a totem axe to hit the apes. This way it go's faster with points in axe mastery...
Prob this build:

Good luck!

my opion dont do howlers you dont get enougth cash if you have an ele farm inscects i have a build that requires no elites and nwts about a k every 3 mins (not including dye drops)
drupal
Most of the Mo/W (especially in international district) are bots, I think it's easy for the makro to play this build, that's all.
@Achilles: My ele is just a mule and I don't have fun playing one, so I'll just use my SoA Monk like before

Hey, maybe can you post a mini guide on how you farm the Tusked Creatures
drupal
Normal 55 build or SoA, just use search or gw.gamewikis.org...

Ok, I think I got a build that worked. And I tried using Arcane Echo SoJ like the OP said but the copied SoJ goes back to echo too soon. Do I need to like time it perfectly for 20 secs or is there a trick that allows yo uto know how much longer until the skill turns back into Arcane Echo.

Um, yes if you want it to echo before it times out you need to time it... Did you think Echo casts it for you?
You dont need a stopwatch. Just watch the recharge of the icon on your skill bar as if the recharge indication were hands on a clock. If you have a weapon that has % chance for fast recharge you will have 2 different spots you watch as an indication that Echo is timeing out.
You recast Soj right before the timeout even if the old SoJ is still active (energy permitting).

Ya thanks, I dont have HCT because a Standard 55's weapons dont give it. But I think I found a spot on the recharge when to use it.
Thank you all!
Edit, I just want to make sure I'm taking the right route on this farm. On my route I encounter 3 groups of 5 Tusked Howlers. Is this right or is there more?

There are 5 groups of 5
One when you come out of Yolon (top of hill). Go left towards the zone, you will encounter 2 more groups you can take both groups at one time. Then head back towards Yolon staying out in the middle area and you will find 2 more groups that you can pull together.

Ok thanks I found all 5. I didn't see two groups that looked like I could pull em' together but I still found all 5.
Thanks again!
Edit, here is the route I took

Edit2, I just did another run and the spawn was different. I was able to pull two groups together.

To be honest, you dont make enough money with tusked howlers. Go to the crystal desert and kill the hydras, much better drops... Really... And you can zone there in and out, so easier...
