Offhands - Dyes No Longer Working?!?

A couple months back I noticed there are several offhand caster items like divine focuses that look really good dyed. So I started trying to collect some good gold versions of the skins I liked and I checked out how they looked with various dyes. Personally I love the divine focus dyed so after testing it, went on a spree of buying gold inscribable ones. They all worked fine in my "pseudo dye" window when I tested (white dye is very nice but expensive so I didn't commit to using it yet). Around a week and a half ago I bought a few more whites and went to finalize dying them and suddenly it won't dye them anymore. Interestingly out of the 6-7 divine focuses I have (all the same skin btw), one of them is still able to accept dyes. The others can't. The same is true of my mesmer chakrams which were dyable before, etc.

Can someone PLEASE fix this fairly new quirk? I'm not sure exactly which update stopped it from working but it would be wonderful to be able to properly dye the offhands again. They looked amazingly cool with dye applied and it's been very depressing that it is suddenly not working anymore.

PLEASE put the dyability of the offhands back in!

There are other items no longer dyeable, like the bone staff.
No reason why.

Hmmm. I dyed a bone staff a couple weeks ago too. They dye super well. It's a shame one of the updates whacked all this as dying these items was a way to really add personalization to them. PLEASE fix this, Anet.

I love dying weapons/offhands =p I dye my favorite armor of course so might as well dye my favorite items too.

I was really dissapointed that pretty much all spears can't be dyed.

Unfortunately, this hasn't been fixed in the last few updates, either. Remember, this used to work just fine so it's not a potential new feature...just a fix so the old "feature" of being able to dye offhands works again.

Anet, in the last month my guild has gone from having virtually everyone on for hours a night to people not logging on at all for days or some even weeks. I hope you go back to the days when you realized it's the fun things like this that make people want to play (or not). Please don't do to the fun customizability of pve what you did to GvG back in December.

Actually, I noticed this a couple of weeks ago, you might want to try this. I tried dyeing a Collector's Bleached Skull, to my dismay, it did not work.

Then, my wife found a gold Bleached Skull, and guess what: It was dyeable. I tried the Collector's one again, sure enough, still un-dyeable. It's possible that only the gold/rare versions can be dyed. This might be what's going on with foci that you once thought were dyeable.

Unfortunately this isn't the case with many offhands. As I say in the opening post, I collected several more GOLD divine symbol offhands as well as a few mesmer ones. They were dyable when I first got them. Once I had obtained my collection of gold offhands I got some white dyes and was about to start combining the various upgrades to make my collection only to find they aren't dyable anymore. The only divine symbol offhand that I can still dye out of the many I now have is one of the old collector ones I got from chapter 1, oddly enough.

If any devs are actually reading this, PLEASE fix this fairly new bug (or horrible and random decision to take this feature out of the game for many offhands).

I have has this too, i just couldnt dye some GOLD off-hands. Unfortunately, i cant say for sure if they could by dyed before or not.
If this is a glitch, it would be great if it could be fixed.
