Looks like another go around for Beetle Racing! Yaaaaaaay!!!

From Noon PST on Friday, February 23, through 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, February 25, you can participate in three great activities: The Dragon Arena, the Shing Jea Boardwalk, and Rollerbeetle Racing. For each win you will reap rewards in the form of Victory Tokens, which you can then exchange for prizes in Shing Jea Monastery and the Great Temple of Balthazar. And of course you can work on your Gamer title, too. Join us this weekend for all the fun and games!
Anybody have any specific plans? I really enjoyed the Rollerbeeetle Racing but didnt get a chance to do a lot of it. I've always enjoyed the Boardbalk. Always a great time. Back to Back events. Great job!!

I really hope the gamer points for the Dragon Arena are like what they were for the snowball arena. It would be a lot more fun to get the points since the matches there are almost always very close and very fun either way. Snowball was fun, but if people didn't know what to do, you were pretty much screwed.

I'm a bit confused. Why do these events happen in chapter 2? Shouldnt these events be in chapter 3 since its the new chapter? Maybe it does and I just dont know.

Along the same lines, I think that all the Factions action is to bring people to the game, (all those Nightfall owners without Factions) and could it be (gasp) an indication that Ch4 is somhow more tied to Factions?

YAY I am excited about this. I only got into Rollerbeetle Racing a couple of hours before the New Year event ended, but I will definitely be playing it some more this weekend. Plus, I can finally trade in those 300+ victory tokens left over from last time More sugar and alcohol!

All I can say is THANK YOU ANET, I didn't get to participate in either the Dragon Arena OR the Shing Jea boardwalk (Real Life is a B1tch) so thank you very much, I can finally try them out

Unfortunately I am working for half of the event, and for the other half, I'll probably be sleeping. But you can bet I'll be buying up tickets and leaving my char afk to get the lucky and unlucky titles (at least the first tiers of them. I don't really want to spend any more money than that in a single weekend on a couple of titles).

hey this means I might actually get to play beetleracing (spent too much time on ingredient farming and questing and helping with the chefs to do anything else).......dont care if there is a reward, gettng to play is ok enough for me.

I don't really like the beetle race, because I think you need a ping of less than 100ms for being competitive, I always have 100ms to 150ms (that doesn't affect at all the normal GW game because is very well designed for tolerate big lag (note that the fastest interruptible skill/spell is 250ms (1/4 second)) anyway, some people play very well with +500ms, this is not a first person shooter, but the beetle race is different)
I will be playing the "Dragon Ball" Arena, and some AFK in the lottery circles.

Awesome, the dragon arena is one of the very few minigames I'm somewhat decent at (I only got 1st place on rollerbeetle once, but it's by far my favorite.)

Dragon arena is fantastic. Gamer titles didn't exist last time it was here, yet it was still massively popular and played at a level bordering on excessive. More skill than rollerbeetles, more fast-paced than snowballs. How can you ask for more xD

In Conclusion, I would like to thank Anet for giving us the oppurtunities to achieve some titles, whether it was the AFK Lucky/Unlucky Title or the stressful Skillz Title. I would have still liked to see an improvement to the scoring system with Gamer Points, but I grinded long enough for one weekend.

then got kicked of the pc (thats what you get for having multiple pcs in the house but only 1 has internet connection and a dvd-burner) so all i could so was leave the game running while standing in a circle - reached prosperous/unfavored.
so now i am at 520k-ish and 36k-ish - which means that i wont be able to reach the next tier at the next event if it will only last for the weekend.
then got kicked of the pc (thats what you get for having multiple pcs in the house but only 1 has internet connection and a dvd-burner) so all i could so was leave the game running while standing in a circle - reached prosperous/unfavored.

i had so much fun in Dragon Arena @_@ but now i'm screwed when I do AB or normal PvP because I had used mouse clicking as my main dodging technique (I use arrows keys, the randomly moving when trying to type when accidentally not hitting entered annoyed me) and now I'm used to just deftly moving away @_@;;;
but yesh, i finally reached the Skillz title n-n It was so much fun! I ended up not doing the races @_@;; I don't want it to go away T_____T *clings to it*
i think the max consecutive wins was 11 for me, and it was on that 11th that i got the title @=@
