Buried Treasure Reset?

I was just doing a chest run in The Mirror Of Lyss and ran past the buried treasure. I was about to die (i need to work on my running skills again) and i thought worth a try. It opened. I got 2k and an aureate Lamp. Im pretty sure I had reopened it last time they reset. So basically, just an FYI, i believe the chests are reset, so maybe so other folks out there could help me conferm this. Im going to be checking the other chests. Please post back if you can confirm.


Edit: Just checked every chest and they all opened for me.

I don't think they were re-opened, I just checked them 3 of them out on my necro, none opened, if they were reset they may have been fixed

is it just buried treasures or chests as well? b/c I tried the chest in jahai bluffs and its still closed.

Did you open them before February 19th? Because thats when they were reset.

I reopened 'em all on my Dervish.

They were reset January 19th in an update.

If you opened treasures before then. Then you get to open them again after.

I didnt catch that they got updated on the 19th. That would be what happened (for me atleast). I didnt hear about it. Thanks for the info.

Also, does ANet unlock them all after each major event/update?

Apparently, if they actually DID update on the 19th, then they're doing it monthly, seeing as the last time was on January 19th.

They were reset on the 19th of january, the only time they have been reset ever.

Test it for yourself, mate. The treasures have been reset. I am in the process of running all of my characters through Elona to tag all of these all over again. I wouldn't be doing this if they were closed.

My warrior can't open them.

I can't open any of them either.

didnt work for me.....guess I visited them after the 19th....oh well.

My Dervish can open them, but my Warrior can't. ;x

u should be able to open every chest after 30 days, meaning the mirro of lyss chest "resets" the 20th of feb for u, while the mehtany keys is still empty and it "resets" the 22nd.
basicly each chest may have a timer of 720hours (or something near that) that starts ticking the moment a character open it, and when it expires u can open it again starting the countdown one more time. that's why every character, and even different chests for the same character, appear to have different reset moments

that's the only decent explanation i have because upon january reset i rushed them all with my warrior, and i opened them again for the third time yesterday evening, while for example my ranger, created a week ago, still have the first tresures in issnur isle and mehtany keys empty
