Celestial Weapons - Chests?

{Damnit... What is wrong with this site? Can't I make a single thread without it being partially duplicated and messed up?}

Anyhow... I'd like to know if Celestial weapons drop more frequently from Canthan Chests in the Nahpui Quarter mission, as I'm inclined to find a Celestial Sword, Celestial Shield and Celestial Longbow... preferably all gold... and its going to take a hell of a long time if I can't get them from chests.

Yes, they drop with a bit higher frequency in that explorable/mission. I wish you luck getting a usable drop.

An Assassin... solo... in The Deep?
I'd be laughing my guts up if I weren't generally depressed that it cannot be so. There are no henchies down there and my heroes don't follow me into teleporters. I don't have guildies to draw upon and my friends-list folk are usually busy. I'm never going to be able to go through The Deep... sadly.

I don't exactly have hard numbers to give you, so 'a bit higher' is the best I can give you. No sarcasm intended.

Ah... I was hoping for "quite a lot higher" .... but... *shrugs*

I'm guessing its only a small thing.

Is there anywhere better (besides Elite areas) for getting Celestial Golds?

First off, celestials don't drop from elite missions. They drop from chests in Naphui Quarter and the Hall of Heroes chest. They also drop in chests in Xaquang Skyway, if the chest spawns near a Vermin. There are probably abit more places, not 100% sure though.

I have run napui with 4 toons a total of about 8 times and I got one gold celestial drop from a monster...no chests.

Are gold Celestial swords worth something?

Celestial weapons are one on the more rare weapons in Factions.

Recently I've got very nice r9 fire Celestial Scepter HSC10/HSR10 from a chest in The Undercity. I think celestials can drop elsewhere, not only in the Nahpui as the wiki says.

They're the prettiest swords in the entire game....

... in my opinion. ^_^

The fact that they're rare isn't that important to me... no more than their monetary value might be. I just want them because they're pretty.

Keep running Nahpui quest, that's the best place to get them. I got a req 8. celestial longbow 15 50 and a req 8 +5 energy celestial sword. Probably around 200 Keys ran, got a good amount of celestials that weren't great in between.

If you can run a 55 build in Nahpui, you can also solo a good number of the star birds and they also drop the items. That way you get all the bird drops and the chests along the way. Avoid the mesmer and necro bosses though, as they will typically eat you alive.

On the note about The Deep, only two heroes can follow you through each teleporter so the others get stuck on the starting platform. I've played parts of it with heroes, but it's been a while so an update may have killed their teleportation.

I got tired of trying and bought my celestial sword for about 50k back before the release of nightfall. its not max damage 15-21, but has +5 energy which is perfect for my monk. I think it was worth it because of the time saved, and just think, I could have wasted 50k on keys and still not got a +5 energy sword to drop from a chest.
