Hidden towns
Myth
I dont know about anyone else but one of the biggest thrills in PvE for me was finding some small town off in the middle of nowhere. Nothing else game me so much satisfaction in the game. I would love to see more little towns, or shrines or ruins and things like that tucked into little corners of the map or off in the middle of nowhere or something like that. I mean not an obsene amount, but just a bunch of them dotting the map.
Scion of Darkness
yeah, they wouldn't even need anything other than like a merchant at them. But then again they could make a long, difficult journey much easier, making the journey less for the elite, and more for joe just-got-the-game shmoe.

I agree...I remember when I first started playing and would just go out and start exploring and low and behold...here's Maguuma Stade...wouldn't have gone down there other wise...so I felt like I had accomplished something

i want a moving hidden town...take this lazy forum only no do it yourself people...not to anyone personally

Yeah, I really enjoyed finding the Courthouse, Ice Tooth Cave and the Stade. Even finding Piken's Square was awesome back in the day (before they added a freaking tour guide. kids today!). Chapter 2 just needs a lot more dinky towns in out of the way places.

Caravan that would sell exotic goods and give out special quest. They would be moving from zone to zone... (so like between 1am to 6am, can be found in one zone, and between 6am to 12pm... another.. etc)
I will be sure to steal that idea and use it sometime...

Yeah, I beat the game 5 months ago. Thought I had everything on my map...but im still finding little places like beetletun even today
Medion
<<<< discovered Piken Square at lvl 20 ^^
Yeah, more small towns would be cool, but I think both should be in, like:
Ascalon Settlement and Beetletun.

I just found out that ice tooth cave/courthouse/maguuma stade existed like 2 weeks ago. I believe my map is complete now, I've been everywere.

The only way to find it is to find some NPC out there in the wilderness (some city guard)

One place I felt there should have been a little town in was between the Temple of Ages and the Wilds. Heck, at level 16 I took a group of henchmen from ToA and went all the way across, expecting something to be in there. There wasn't. I was wondering if anyone else found a little village (not an outpost), just a few buildings, somewhere in the south of Talmark Wilderness. There was a sign to it on the road and began with D. So when I followed the sign I thought I was heading to an outpost.
In Chapter 2, I definitely want to see more outposts about the place, tucked around a corner in the wilderness, up on a mountain ledge, in an opening in the forest, in a temple in the middle of the desert, etc. In this way, having no portals visible on the map for this kind of thing would make the aspect even better.
Like, a travelling circus, with special items being sold, performances, quests, etc. Sounds great.
They're not moving, but I know there are 'fairs' (I can't remember how to spell that) on WoW. Something like those, except in moving caravans and far better stuff --> GW Chapter 2 please.

you guys have pretty good ideas. i agree on small little outposts in the midst of nowhere and the traveling city or caravan is a great idea.

I agree with this idea whole heartedly.
I started playing the typical warrior/monk when i first picked up GW.
But I later found I had the heart of a ranger since i explored about everywhere I could go.
This should be an idea for chapter 2. More little towns that are out of the way (maybe even with quests) that one must explore to find.
The moving gypsys/caravan of wanderers idea is great..never know when to expect them next.
For those who are still exploring...leave from TOA going west. Follow the path in the direction towards the wilds. Have you found the oustide temple/ruins with 5 bone dragons sitting guard?
Nothing terribly special...but neat to find.

Even late in the game, going back and finding some insignifigant little spec of a town for no good reason at all is one of my fleeting joys. Give me more to explore, please

Heeh!
I remember when I found that one 1st time... I was out there with my Supa-Heala & Hechies, just unveiling the map. I guess I was lvl 15 or so at the time. That place was like awesome to find. It'd be nice to have a spot there to Maptravel/teleport... would just go there every now and then to kick some Dtagon-butt and have a tea on his corpse
I had a similar experience when I first entered SF... felt like Newbie again... got lost and got killed (to great amusement of my company) to those crushing thing like 5 times.

Guardian of the Light
There are already hidden towns only GuildWarsGuru and many other runners reveiled their locations and they weren't so hidden anymore (the FoW armor place, Other small towns, 15k armor places)

I bet there is still points of this game we haven't discovered.

Not sure if this is true or not but one of my guildies says that there is a Temple in the Southern Shiverpeaks somewhere with a portal. He has never been in there but apparently the portal is a free trip to the Underworld.

Diablo???
It's the things that are not "teleportable" through the world map that surprises us, like the hidden temple in Lornar's Pass, the hidden Lyssa's shrine in Minerals Spring w/ a hidden infusor, the colossal Warrior statue in Arid Sea, and the Ascalon Settlement to name a few... all of them are awesome, and I cant wait to find more...

Diablo???
ah yes, the tooth cave, very remote. while were on it, I also love Port Sledge.
Legendary Necromancer
Ice Tooth Cave is an outpost to the very north of Beacon's Perch, expert runners often pass through it when running from yak's to beacon's.
Markaedw
Ice tooth cave is NW of Frost Gate. If you open up the game map and drag frost gate to the lower right ice tooth will be in about the middle, it is a skill zone.
Kool Pajamas
There should be more places like Ascalon Settlement with skill vendors and quests that give you skills.
ZkhaYa
You forgot to mention the Dwarf village.
I'm not telling you where it is or it would spoil the moment of finding it for those who dont know where it is. So get going and defend it. And please dont tell where it is if you know already.
Yes there is an Grenth temple in the Lornar's pass. It's nice to have 10% Morale boost ro run around with.
Hmm what else, oh the jungle, right. Try finding the cinematic temple where the Orr was located. Or find the mob of Bone Dragons guarding some temple. All in the jungle.
There are some nice areas to explore like the Dragon's Gullet.
Wish there was more though.
