Changing trapper skills
swardell
After the change in damage dealing for some skills i am having a problem acturly hitting any damage now since that change because i am a trapper my self i think that arena net should change the skills ( trapping skills) back to hit more damage because i could hit 80s with one trap, but now i can just hit that with all my traps it has no real affect on anyone anymore. could you change it back to aleast to hit about 40s. If there are any Trappers out there ( spike trappers) please post your thoughts on this subject aswell.

The damage for the traps never changed. Before, the damage in the skill description for Spike and Barbed Trap was incorrect. It used to be around 60-ish right? If anyone payed attention(which I honestly didn't), when someone walked over it, that someone would NOT be hit for 60-ish damage. I think the numbers had something to do with the AL of the targets, but I'm not sure.
The probelm's just all in your mind. Try Zaishen Trapping, the result is the same as before.

Exactly... They never changed the damage of traps. They just look alot more pathetic now in terms of damage dealing.
Flame Trap deals ~6 damage to high level enemies with the extra -14 from Burning. A total of 5 seconds burning and the damage gives about 88 damage. Dust Trap deals a straight -26 a second, 5 seconds deals 130 damage.
Whereas before Flame Trap 'appeared' to do around about the same. Still doesn't change the fact that Dust Traps damage stacks superbly and the rest of the traps damage comes mainly from the conditioning.
