What if C4 is released tomorrow?
Shadow_7
I know I would buy it as it comes out.
broodijzer
I would buy it, but not now. crappy computer (damn those computer-repair men >.>) + no money = no thanks.
Timestop
Money is not the issue, I would buy it right away. I'm a pve player and finished chapter 3 with all my chars about 2 months ago, well paragon is stuck there somewhere near the end. Played only few times during last 2 months, and can't wait for launch of chapter 4.
thezed
If it were launched tomorow? I would buy it in the morning and call in "sick" to work.
Game addiction counts as a sickness doesn't it?

HayesA
I wouldn't, couldn't buy it the day it came out. I still don't have C:2 yet, tho i have C:1 & C:3. But as soon as I could, I would buy it.
Kais Unduli
I would buy Chapter 4, but I wouldn't play it right away. To date, I've completed Nightfall with one character, whereas the other two chapters I've completed with all available characters. A new chapter would be fun for about a month, then after that I'd get bored of Guild Wars again.
LONGA
I gonna need to have a run for my necro and ranger before I move on to another chapter.
racso
Well, I can't help it, if I am bored, sitting in front my computer, the last thing i think about is to play GW.
But hey, I own 3 chapters, I am on the official server (not that I know about pirate servers), I can come back when ever I want to. You remember Star Craft? well last month something got in me I had to play it, and spent weeks playing it, but that was it. It can happen with GW. ANet guarantees that my players will be there.
There are things that definitely makes GW very special, it's GUI (Graphical User Interface) I mean, where else can you find AUTOs (ctrl+click), the T target, the select closer target and attack it.. etc. Those things I haven't see it or heard about on any other MMORPG.
So, if C4 is released tomorrow? I started the thread saying no, but didn't say will never play it. Like most of you guys have said, players feed back is important, I'd spend hours here on the forum waiting for your opinions on the posts, which are very welcome and very important.
From C4 I expect improving on many areas rather than adding stuff, like the storage, I expect also to do as Prophecies and make you win skills with the prizes when you finish a quest, because money is an issue for the majority and those who plays slow like me. Making money is not easy if you get bored easily when farming, but I must tell I am very PvP oriented, but I don't like spending my Balthazar's points on skills, I use them for unlocking items. That's why my first character on C3 was a Dervish, when I bought all skills with the money that dervish made (not using from my storage) I could complete all the skills and was ready to jump into PvP action, which was one of the best character I made.
Thanks for your comments, keep posting, your ideas might help ANet.

I would wait three months after five come out to buy chapter four , that way what ever was glitched, screwed up, and generally not fixed at the start of the chapter four it would more then likely be fix after chapter five came out.
Etta
Um,...without any info at all on Ch4, the answer would be no.
Dougal Kronik
Definitely go and buy it, one CE and one standard.

I'll wait to hear the reviews from the good folks on this forum
Last night I attempted to get into playing Nightfall and I just couldnt really do it. I have the urge to play an online game with other people and not solo. I brought over my Ranger thats beat chapter 1 & 2 and I made it off the noob island and to the first few towns. Nobody talked to anyone in any of these towns. After reaching the 3rd town is was like, wtf is going on here!?!?!?
Town chat: *crickets* cherp cherp cherp.
I stood in town for about 5 minutes and finally said: Hey guys, lets not all talk at once, okay!
*silence*
finally after 30 seconds there was life! Someone said: Shhhhhhh
Someone else said: LOL
And that was it folks!
I promptly left Nightfall and found a FOW group in Prophecies for the rest of the night.

Definitely NOT bored of GW. Keep the campaigns rolling! If RL money wasn't an issue... I would have bought every single campaign the day it came out.
Rakeman
I'd buy it without thinking twice.
creelie
I'd buy it, but I'd worry about ANet's future because of the very poor marketing decision.
jordanp529
I dont know a whole lot about guild wars cause i just recently started playing again. What are c1.c2,c3, and c4?
w0lla
chapters, chapter 1 referring to the first Guildwars: Prophecies, ch2: factions , ch3: Nightfall, etcetc.. u could see them as expansions, but they are standalones
AptaleonIII
i would buy it with no hesitation. and i think half of the people that SAY they won't buy it actually will, they just want to be melodramatic and make out OMG GW IZ DYING. Kind of like a daily mail reporter. if something is bad, it is more dramatic, and people will listen to you (or at least, that's the idea)
Alias_X
I doubt I would get it. Not only do the prices drop drastically if you wait a couple of weeks, but I would like to here what the community thinks about it before I buy it.
Corran Horn
I would head straight to the nearest store that had the CE in stock and buy it.
EternalTempest
I would want to strangle Anet for not allowing me pre-order my CE copy and risk not being able to own it.
But in essence of the question, yes, I would be getting the CE version of it + any pre-order kits.

Kid Divinity
I would buy two CE copies and tell the outside world to bugger off for a week.
Former Ruling
I wouldn't buy it right away. Mostly because of my Financial situation. But also because there is no information about it so I don't know if it'd be worth it.
Tommy
I wouldn't buy it either. Because i haven't afked enough I have to continue to consume Anet's Server resource until they dont make a penny off me first I hate anet and i will not buy another product from neither anet or ncsfot in my life ever again as long as the game is from Anet or ncsoft. There is not a chance in the hell and heaven i would buy it
Age
It is tomorrow/today and it is not out there would be an announcement.
kazjun
I'd buy it. Want to look over the skills for the next big killer in pvp and as long as they throw in some new heroes (a female warrior, necro, ele or mesmer would be nice) for pve I'd be happy, even just LB farming.
Tactical-Dillusions
I'll not buy another expansion unless there was something other than killing monsters or people.
I felt like i'd bought a three course meal from a restaurant and all three courses were the same.
Guild Wars for me was no longer a CORPG, it was an OG.
I was also fed up with "skill balances" ruining my PvE experience, all because of PvP whiners, bots and ArenaNets attitude of thinking that if they change the skills and mechanics, it would make the game feel new again. Wrong.
Good luck with chapter 4, if you choose to get it. I'll be sitting this one out.

Ork Pride
Haha, Are you joking me? After what I paid for factions and nightfall, content that wasn't even worth 50$? Haha, Guild Wars won't get anymore of my money.
Relambrien
I'd buy it tomorrow. ArenaNet has a history of not making perfect games from the start, but fixing the major problems within a reasonable timeframe. Poor scheduling prevented a nice skill balance soon after the NF release; otherwise, I would think the balance would've been a lot earlier.
All I really care about are the skills and new features anyway. Any way to liven up the game experience.
Now, just one question:
Ermm...what would you suggest besides killing monsters or people? Honestly, I can't think of anything else that would be remotely entertaining =\
Let's build a house! Let's learn to cook! Let's be a delivery man! I don't see what's so fun about things like that.

Now apart from what I like, there's reasons not to have these things. There's no place for cooking in the game. What are you gonna do with the food? Your character doesn't get hungry, your health recharges on its own. The only reason I can see is if you could bake cakes for the sweet tooth title, and then I'd want to be able to brew my own beer as well.
I like GW the way it is. If they can think up something that would liven up the game, then sure, I'm all for it. But not cooking or mining or whatever. I'm thinking back to runescape, where to get anything decent from these aspects you had to sit there clicking for days on end. We don't need another reason to complain about grind.
Nkah Sennyt
I would wait until I have money, then probably buy the CE. Of course, I'd end up being out of town [somehow] for the release, just like I was with Factions and NF. Unintentionally.
brokenmonkey
all the negativity towards anet =(
I love you anet, I enjoyed all the changes, games, and updates.
I'd buy the next 10 chapters...

I really don't want GW going in the same direction.

the decreased fun of solo farming even for minimum amounts still kinda gets to me to be more bored then i ever was playing GW since release.
the same goes for pugs, there are less around, people suck more at the game generally compared to the first chapter, and i just see the heros ruining the community more and more (or what was left of it). can we have another monk strike? that stuff was entertaining the first time around...
edit: oh right sorry, to be on topic more so, yes i would buy all of anet's chapters still in my mindset, i still trust they can get things right more often than not.
I'm still sticking to playing once inwhile, my goals atm is all 10 characters to get book of secrets (1/10 done) and all get treasures opened to add to 1 million pure gold (was 3/10 done, but they were reset Lol so 1/10 now). so far i'm sitting on 637k pure gold not too much to go now.

You pretty much need all chapters to be competitive in PvP, so yeah. I'd at least get the PvP version of Chapter 4, probably the PvE version also (It's fun once or twice).
strcpy
I'd purchase just as I did the others.
Though since Nightfall I will pretty much always get collectors (dang, no Kuunavang or Divine Aura). I can be forgiven Prophecies, I *hate* online play in almost every other game I have played (some, like Unreal Tournament are exceptions - but then I only feel OK with it) and put purchasing it off until I had no other games I wanted to try - by then no collectors. With factions the first store I went too didn't have it, I'm impatient, and there were no in-game extra's when I purchased it (they came, what, a few days later?).
I care little for the in-box extra's - they pretty much never leave the box. If they had something like a decent novel based in the game settings I may care, but other than that I only care about in-game material. I just wish that the online store offered it for a (limited?) time so I didn't have to bother with local stores.
If they add more heroes - and I pretty much expect that - then even better.

I would hold off.Bought the other 2 expansions pre but wont do it with Ch4. I will wait on what folks have to say about it.

I'd ask myself if there were any good monk skills being released. That would decide my 50$ sadly .
