Resetting Ladder

I was wondering when they reset the ladder...?

Is it every season? or when they feel like it? or are they not going to reset it at all?

this is from GW website...not sure if it happened or not but if it did I would't expect anymore resets...

The Guild Wars GvG ladder will be resetting for the final time on Jan 1, 2007 at 08:01 GMT (12:01 a.m. PST). As stated in the History of GvG article, this is the final reset for the ladder, which will now be maintained primarily for historical measurements. The ELO rating for free-play GvG games has been lowered to 5K (The ELO system is explained in Appendix B of Universal Tournament Rules). The ELO rating for automated tournaments, when they begin, will be higher.

The ELO system, used by the ladder, was intended to be used in a never resetting ladder. This leads to guilds achieving their true rating instead of ladder farmers getting the highest ranks

Yea, in a Perfect World Sadly. Wish it was like that..

im not yet lvl 20 and in guild battles but what mean ladder? some about guilds stats wins/loses? Btw i saw 2 trophy somewhere - winners some koreans (in american servers??). Damn i left stracraft because bored of koreans but they are everywhere. They should get a life. Sorry im joking but anyway is anyoning....

check it out its pretty good info. Also the statues are for the World Championships I believe....they are in the Temple of Balthazar

Another related question. While the ladder won't be reset, will it be locked again? I would assume that they would temporarily lock it during major tournaments like the Celestial Tournament, but since they usually reset it afterwards, I'm not sure if they will lock it anymore.

ty, much needed also..

Your guild can play in guild battles (GvG) against other guilds. If you win you gain rating, if you lose you lose rating. Your rating determines you rank. The ladder can be found on the official sites.
Every once in a while a World Championship is held, with $100,000 in cash as prize money. That's right. world championship. That means Koreans can play in it too. afaik such a champioinship has only happened twice. One was won by koreans, but one was won by americans if that makes you happy.
GvG is the best thing in Guild Wars. If you're not lvl 20, go make a pvp character.
