ive been told by many people (guildies, strangers in the street, wiki) that armor vs crearue mods dont exist...

untill I found a shield with +8 vs demons inechovald, is this a recent update or have they always been around? or is this item simply glitched?

The mods cant be salvaged but they do exist. There are +10 vs demons green shields in the DOA.

They were not made into Inscriptions (because they are useless in PvP tbh), so they are rarer than your normal shield mods.

It depends what you're talking about, really. Mods that you put ON your armor to give you a bonus against a certain creature type don't exist. Focus mods and shield mods do, as you've seen for youself with the shield you mentioned.
