How do I delete a post?

Topic says all.

click the 'edit' button. A button with 'delete' should appear at the bottom of your post.

You serious? When I click the button with 'edit' on it, at the bottom of my post, for buttons appear with [save] [go advanced] ---->[delete]<---- and [cancel]
Then click 'delete', give a reason for deletioin (such as 'double post') and delete it.

Actually, you don't have to give a reason, just check off delete above where you give a reason and then click on delete at the bottom.
