Can i really get banned for saying wtb 66 ectos?

well... not sure which forum this goes in sorry mods ><. But today i was trying to buy ectos and some guy calls me an ebayer and says im getting a permanent ban. I asked him "what guy did i buy it from?" when he said "i talked to the guy you bought it from" and he said ty for screenshot ur getting banned. So my question is, Can I really get banned just for wanting to buy ectos?

No, He was a stupid kid, If you do get banned for no reason, right a report back to anet, and you will get unbanned.

..............................when somebody pms you with a message like that in game, just ignore it honestly. 99% of the time you dont get reported/they dont have any proof/they are just trying to scare you/ they are retarded. keep that in mind next time you get a stuped pm like that

I saw someone buying 60+ ectos for as they put it "FoW Armor." I wanted to scream "Ebay!", but seeing as I'm wearing a set of Mesmer Obsidian armor around, common sense prevailed. The fact of the matter is people actually save their plat and get FoW armor legitly. Obviously, 60+ ectos at 8.5k ea minimum is alot of dough to piss out at once ( I bought ectos as I farmed shiroken in stacks of 5 or 10 at a time as cash permitted.)

I don't you'll get banned unless there is convincing evidence that you accepted 1000k from a player in return for nothing (aka buying gold). Jealousy is a bitch, but some people need to suck it up. Farm 10k a day and you'll be well on your way towards some nice vanity item...

I have found that the threat of a report for harassment works wonders for shutting them up.

I think he gets the point after the first few people said you can't get banned for just buying 66 ectos. deleted off topic posts, repeats and closed.
