Excessive lag in game whilst events are on

Is it just me or does anyone else experience high levels of lag when festivals or events are on? And before any smart alecs blame my pc or connection they are both high spec, I think Anet may not have enough bandwidth or server space when lots of people are playing in these events.

It's not just you. Not everyone has this problem, but a number of people do. And this probably belongs in Riverside.

During the christmas one in LA there were 78 english distircts when i was online O_o;

Since the canthan new year, I notice a bit more lag over all, even when I'm in pre-searing(just rejoined the retarded masses tonite out of boredom).

I don't have the best net connection, on DSL I can DL at 25k/sec or thereabouts, and same as OP, it's not my system(though lots of people here will assume so and write me/us off, or flamebait me...)

It is in the wrong forum, without a suggestion to fix it.....though rest asured there are others that feel your pain.

I never suffer lag due to festivals, not even conection delays.
I just have some slow downs sometimes due to high number of character models in the same spot. Nothing hard, just about 30 to 15fps reduction.

Maybbe is a problem about the area you are in.
