How many hours does it take for one full year for a character to recieve their birthday present?

You just have to keep a character for 1 year. The amount of hours played on the character doesn't effect the age for determining when you get a Birthday Present.

you will get a message saying you have played this character X number of hours over Y number of months

the number of months is your age and when 12 months is up the present appears in your inventory.

so i always leave an empty slot as i get close to 12

QFT I have mules that never played for a minute that got mini's on their one year.
