Does anyone know how to stop the taskbar from hiding itself whenever there is a window open ( it's still there when on desktop).

I also keep getting buffer overruns causing gw to stop, and when i click ok it closes. How do you stop these? My video card is Intel R 945GM Express Chipset Family (built in thing that came with laptop) and i'm running Windows Media Centre.

Thanks

PS:Sorry about double post, use this one if you have anything to help.

to prevent the taskbar form hiding it self, make sure u dont have "Auto-hide taskbar" checked in your taskbar properties.
to check whether you have checked this or not right-click your taskbar and then press properties.
should be a list like:

[] lock the taskbar
[] auto-hide the taskbar
[] keep taskbar on top of other windows
[] group similar taskbar buttons
[] show quick launch

you should NOT have auto-hide the taskbar checked and SHOULD HAVE keep taskbar on top of other windows.

as for your graphics
go to this site
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...ProductID=2301
and select your operating system to get the latest drivers.
that may stop the problem.

Thanks for the video card links, figured out the taskbar thing myself ( bit obvious but thought i'd mucked it up permanently while downloading themes)
